Legendary coach Mike Ditka was hospitalized earlier this week and is being treated for a heart-related issue. His agent told ESPN he had a heart attack, the doctors inserted a pacemaker and Ditka is feeling much better now. The 79-year old former NFL head coach led the Bears, and Saints organizations.

Central Michigan: Head coach John Bonamego has been let go. The Chippewas finished 1-11 this season and 0-8 in MAC play. He may not be out of work for long, per our sources...

Iowa: Kirk Ferentz gets a bonus of $500k with Iowa's win over Nebraska to get the Hawkeyes to eight wins on the year, Steve Berkowitz tweets.

Ole Miss: The program has announced that defensive coordinator Wesley McGriff will not return next season.

Louisville: Athletic director Vince Tyra shares that he has "five to six" guys that he would consider on his shortlist, but notes that if money is their sticking point that "they won't be our coach," according to the Courier Journal. The article adds that he anticipates interviewing multiple candidates beginning Sunday and that one candidate on that shortlist is a minority.
