Legendary sports broadcaster Dick Enberg has sadly passed away at 82. Please join us in praying for his family.

Bethel (NAIA - TN): Arkansas Tech (D-II) offensive coordinator Brent Dearmon has been hired to lead his alma mater. Dearmon just finished his third season calling the offense at Arkansas Tech, and before that was a record setting quarterback for the Bethel program.

Montana State-Northern (NAIA): Andrew Rolin, who has coached at University of San Diego, San Jose State, and Washington, has been tabbed to lead the program. He most recently coached at San Jose State, originally working with the running backs as a full-time assistant before moving to wide receivers in 2016.

Arizona State: Joe Connolly has been named head coach for sports performance.

NC State: Georgia Tech defensive coordinator and former Duke head coach Ted Roof has joined the program as the 10th assistant coach, the Wolfpack has announced. Roof will be NC State's associate head coach, co-defensive coordinator and safeties and nickels coach.

Tennessee Tech: Sources tell FootballScoop Mercer quarterbacks coach Tre Lamb will be the new offensive coordinator at TTU.

Tulane: Source tells FootballScoop former New Orleans Saint JJ McCleskey is joining the Tulane defensive staff.

Kent State: Syracuse graduate assistant Macky MacPherson is joining the staff as running backs coach.

Syracuse: Syracuse is looking to add two offensive graduate assistants. We are specifically looking for candidates with either QB or OL experience. Bachelor’s degree is required and candidates must have the academic background to be admitted into a graduate program at Syracuse University. Minot State (D-II - ND): Minot State University, an NCAA Division II school and member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, is seeking two graduate assistant coaches – one on defense (Defensive Line) and one on offense (RBs or TEs). The successful candidate will coach his own position, run positional meetings, assist with special teams, contribute to the weekly game plan and have his own recruiting area. Must be hard working, passionate, extremely motivated and accepted into graduate school (3.0 minimum GPA). Compensation package includes a $5,000 stipend, camp bonus and tuition waiver. Review of candidates will begin immediately and consideration will be given to those that can interview at the AFCA Convention. SMU: Source tells FootballScoop the SMU defensive coordinator search has moved on from Gary Andersen who had been a serious candidate for the position days ago.

Louisiana Lafayette: In addition to Michael Desormeaux, source tells FootballScoop DFO Troy Wingerter and Director of Player Personnel Ryan Trichel have both been retained.

Fordham (FCS - NY): Pete Thamel tweets thatFordham has hired Yale offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Joe Conlin as their new head coach. We can confirm the hire & add that the search shifted yesterday to Conlin (who previously was also a finalist for the Holy Cross head job). We are told Conlin's annual compensation is expected to be in the $300,000 range and the pool for assistants is expected to be just under $700,000.

Rise Science: The Rise Science team is growing! With more and more teams realizing the importance of good sleep as a foundation for their athletes, they have a strong commitment to best in class customer service. Rise has hired Jackson Boyd from JumpForward as Director of Client Services. Jackson will be in Charlotte at NSCA/AFCA so be sure to hit him up!

RPI (D-III - NY):RPI is looking for a home game week #5 for next season (9/29/2018). They will pay a guarantee for the home game. If interested, please contact head coach Ralph Isernia at isernr@rpi.edu.

Kent State: Tennessee-Chattanooga (FCS) defensive coordinator Tom Kaufman and defensive line coach Brian Cochran are joining Sean Lewis' staff. Kaufman's title is defensive coordinator and associate head coach, while Cochran will coach the defensive line. Both Kaufman and Cochran have deep Ohio ties from their time on the John Carroll (D-III - OH) staff.

Louisiana Lafayette: Running backs coach Michael Desormeaux has been retained by new head coach Billy Napier sources tell FootballScoop. Desormeaux, a former Ragin Cajun quarterback, represented the staff as interim head coach following Mark Hudspeth's termination.

UTEP: Former K-State offensive lineman Zach Hanson will be the new offensive line coach at UTEP sources tell FootballScoop. Hanson was currently serving on North Carolina's staff working with tight ends & special teams.

Indiana: Sources tell FootballScoop that Kane Wommack, who spent this past season as defensive coordinator at South Alabama before being promoted to interim head coach following the resignation of Joey Jones, is joining Tom Allen's staff at Indiana.

Arizona State: Source tells FootballScoop San Diego State defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales will be ASU's new defensive coordinator. Gonzales has served on SDSU's staff the past seven seasons; but added the DC title just this past year. He also coaches safeties.

Prairie View A&M (FCS - TX): Per sources, Grambling State (FCS - LA) offensive coordinator Eric Dooley is expected to be the next head coach. Fox 26 in Houston has reported the same.

Arizona State: Last night, multiplereportssurfaced that Western Illinois (FCS) head coach Charlie Fisher is heading to join Herm Edwards; staff at Arizona State. We have not confirmed the reports from Arizona.

Tennessee Tech (FCS): Per sources, Dewayne Alexander, who most recently coached the offensive line at East Tennessee State, has agreed to become the new head coach. An official announcement is expected today.

Arizona State: Long Beach Poly (CA) head coach Antonio Pierce has now resigned and is planning to join the Sun Devils staff, as we reported a week or so ago.
