Herm Edwards asked walk-on defensive lineman Jordan Hoyt and a teammate to come up and talk for a bit during a team meeting about a Bible study group that they had put together.
While Hoyt told the team about the group, and shared what they can do to get involved, a Sun Devils staffer slid a paper announcing the scholarship on the presentation slide that Hoyt had his back to, but was right in front of the rest of the Sun Devils squad.
The team erupts in applause, which causes Hoyt to look back at the screen behind him and the group hug then begins.
The best part is, the staffer slid that paper up just as Hoyt was quoting scripture from Colossians 3:23.
"Whatever you do in your words, or your deeds, do it for the glory of God. For there is a reward you will receive."
