One thing I've learned from social media is that there are only a few things that can hit a coach right in "the feels," inciting goosebumps or maybe some dust in the eyes.
I think military reunions are one of them (and that goes well beyond just coaches), and every once in a while seeing a coach surprise a kid with a scholarship can be another. Beyond just the #ScholarshipAlert though, I've always found it special when the moment that the kid calls home to share the great news with his parents is shared as well.
That's what Tulane did with walk-on wide receiver Brian Newman after awarding him with a scholarship.
It's impossible for me to not get chills when Brian tells his dad the great news, and hearing his dad's reaction.
