Cal's uniform options over the years have been pretty vanilla by modern uniform standards.
Chances are good at home games that they're going to go with blue jereseys, blue helmets, and gold (or blue) pants and on the road they're going to wear white jerseys and white pants, maybe mixing in the gold pants on occasion. The Bears did roll out an all white look against Oregon back in 2011, but all in all the choices have been pretty vanilla when you consider how crazy uniforms have gotten recently.
Well according to a tweet from a player (Malik PSalms), they may have a new option. The picture is a light blue matte helmet with the signature Cal script, highlighted by a chrome facemask.
Don't get too excited, because some pretty sweet alternate white helmets have been teased before, but this looks like it could be the real deal. Cross your fingers.
Cal (2-0) will take on Texas (1-1) in Austin on Saturday at 7:30pm EST. The game can be seen on Fox.
