Trailer: Bishop Sycamore, the world's most famous fake school, has a documentary set to release (documentary)

August will make the two-year mark since IMG Academy (FL) squared off against Bishop Sycamore (OH) in a nationally televised game at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, OH.

Normally, high school game that get a national TV spot are great matchups with high profile players.

It didn't take long into IMG's 58-0 rout of Bishop Sycamore to see that this game was not like the other televised high school games.

The game didn't even seem to be wrapped up before the internet was lit on fire with damning details about the Bishop Sycamore program...if you can even call it that.

Turns out, the school doesn't even really exist, and the players on the team weren't high school kids - and some of them played under fake identities. The team was playing their second game in a span of three days with most of the roster going both ways, and one player later shared that they were robbing from grocery stores as their only way to eat.

Their jerseys looked like a stock option from NCAA create-a-team, and they didn't have enough helmets to outfit everyone on the sideline at once.

The story doesn't seem real...which is probably why it's fitting that it is getting its own documentary.

The trailer for the upcoming special - which is set to be released next Wednesday, June 14th, 2023 -  doesn't show anything related to football whatsoever, but instead gives some real cringy True Crime type vibes, and I'm here for it!
