Long-time football coach and administrator Cleve Bryant died today at the age of 75. Bryant served as head coach at his alma mater, the University of Ohio from 1985-89 and would go on to serve in various capacities at Texas for more than 15 seasons in total. Please keep the Byrants in your prayers.
Stanford: Garrett Wolfe has joined the staff as director of football operations. He previously served in a similar capacity with Troy Taylor at Sacramento State and has experience working at Stanford in the past as well.
Louisiana Monroe: With offensive line coach Maverick Morris leaving for UVA, sources tell FootballScoop that Kyle Segler is making the move to offensive line coach.
Virginia: Louisiana-Monroe offensive line coach Maverick Morris has accepted a graduate assistant position working with the offensive line.
Florida Atlantic: Tom Herman is filling a key off-field role with a former Texas staffer of his, sources tell FootballScoop.
John Carroll (D-III - OH): Former Akron defensive coordinator Tom Kaufman is returning to his alma mater as defensive coordinator. Kaufman's recent coaching journey includes five stops at Division I programs including UT-Chattanooga (FCS), Syracuse, Bowling Green, and Eastern Illinois (FCS).
Boise State: The Broncos have formally announced the addition of Fresno State running backs coach / recruiting coordinator James Montgomery as their new running backs coach / recruiting coordinator.
Anderson (D-III - IN): LaMont Johnson, who previously coached the wideouts at Campbellsville (NAIA - KY), has joined the staff as wide receivers coach.
San Francisco 49ers: The Niners have requested to interview Chris Harris, who recently joined the Titans as their pass game coordinator, for their defensive coordinator opening. Mike Garafolo adds that they have also requested an interview with former Panthers interim head coach Steve Wilks for the position as well.
Denver Broncos: The Broncos have struck a deal to hire Sean Payton as their new head coach.
Houston Texans: The Texans are moving to make DeMeco Ryans their new head coach.
Delta State (D-II - MS): Kentucky Christian (NAIA) receivers coach / recruiting coordinator Alex Ball has accepted the receivers job, sources tell FootballScoop.
Otterbein (D-III - OH): Tommy Zagorski, who led Gilmour Academy (OH) to a 9-2 season last fall, has been named head coach. Zagorski is a college coaching veteran who spent eight seasons on staff at OAC member John Carroll (D-III - OH) as well stops at Akron, Tennessee, and Eastern Kentucky (FCS).
Sioux Falls (D-II - SD): The program has announced the additions of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (D-III) defensive line coach Michael Buetow (DL), former Central Missouri running back Xavier Jackson (RBs), Wisconsin-Eau Claire (D-III) running backs / tight ends coach Caleb Richardson (TEs) and Dubuque (D-III - IA) running backs coach Markhus Taylor (CBs).
Temple: Temple has an immediate opening for a Graduate Assistant position working with the Wide Receivers. Candidates must have college football playing experience, a minimum of two years of coaching at the collegiate level, and be proficient in using Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, XOS, and PFF. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assisting WR Coach with Day-to-Day Operations, Opponent Breakdowns, Scouting Reports, Pass Game Drawings, Self-Scout, etc. Candidates are required to have a 3.0 GPA and must be admitted into graduate school. Atlanta Falcons: Jerry Gray is joining the staff as assistant head coach - defense the Falcons have now announced. Gray had been the Packers defensive passing game coordinator the past few years.
Louisiana Christian (NAIA): Sources tell FootballScoop David Feaster has been named the offensive coordinator for Louisiana Christian. Feaster, has been a head coach in Louisiana for 25 years most recently at Glenbrook HS (LA), where they finished 11-1 last year.
Cerritos (JC - CA): Cerritos College has begun a search to fill a WR Coaching opening. This will be a stipend position with the possibility of a class based on Masters in Kinesiology. There is no housing or health benefits attached to this position. Job includes but not limited to Recruiting, running position meetings, Hudl breakdowns and any and all assignments by Head Coach. Northern Illinois: The program has now formally announced the additions of Wisconsin Eau-Claire (D-III) head coach Wesley Beschorner and Washington State quality control coach Adam Breske. Beschorner will work with the running backs while Breske will coach the linebackers.

Kent State: Kent State is looking to hire a recruiting graduate assistant with the primary responsibility being assisting the Director of Player Personnel in all aspects of recruiting. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, experience with on campus visits, identification and evaluation of prospects. Other traits include strong work ethic, strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail. Experience with Graphic Design is a plus. Tampa Bay Bucs: Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken has completed his interview for the offensive coordinator opening.
Wayne State (D-II - MI): New head coach Tyrone Wheatley has inked a four-year deal that averages $207,500 in base pay, per the Detroit Free Press. His predecessor, Paul Winters, made just over $273,000 in his 19th and final season with the program last fall.
Endicott (D-III - MA): Endicott College is seeking applicants for a full-time defensive assistant football coach. Linebackers preferred. The primary responsibilities of the position will include but are not limited to; assisting the Head Football Coach in all aspects of the football program, coaching your own position group, running positional meetings, and recruiting (on campus and travel). You must be proficient in Hudl Video Editor and Microsoft Office. Although it is not required, Adobe Photoshop experience is preferred. College playing experience and/or previous coaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred. Missouri: Indiana director of on campus recruiting Maurey Bland has joined the Missouri staff as director of communications and recruiting relations source tells FootballScoop.
Dallas Cowboys: Panthers running backs coach Jeff Nixon has an interview for the offensive coordinator opening on Wednesday, per Joe Person. Nixon stepped in to call plays following the dismissal of offensive coordinator Joe Brady in Carolina back in 2021.
Oberlin (D-III - OH): The Yeomen have tabbed a Big Ten staffer as their new head coach.
Tarleton State (FCS - TX): Former Mississippi State offensive line coach Mason Miller is expected to return to Tarleton State as offensive coordinator Pete Thamel has shared. Prior to his time at Nevada, Washington State and Mississippi State, Miller served as offensive coordinator at Tarleton from 2014-16.
Southeastern (NAIA - FL): With the departure of offensive coordinator John Bear to Bucknell (FCS - PA), sources tell FootballScoop that wide receivers coach Kendall Roberts has been elevated to interim offensive coordinator.
Fort Lewis (D-II - CO): Fort Lewis College is looking to hire a Wide Receiver Coach. The salary is $20,000 and is benefit eligible. Additional responsibilities will include recruiting, assisting with special teams, monitoring academic progress, equipment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. Must have passed or be eligible to take NCAA Recruiting Modules. Have at least two years of football experience at the collegiate or professional level as a participant or coach. The incumbent must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Successful candidates must undergo a Criminal Background Check. Wake Forest: Sources tell FootballScoop receivers coach Kevin Higgins is moving into an off the field leadership position within the staff overseeing recruiting, personnel and the transfer portal.
Missouri: Chandler Campbell has joined the staff as director of player development and career planning. She previously served as coordinator of of on-campus recruiting at Coastal Carolina.
