Notre Dame: An update on Notre Dame's search for their new offensive coordinator. 

Dallas Cowboys: Lincoln Riley and USC are reportedly losing a staffer to the Cowboys.

South Alabama: Sources tell FootballScoop that South Alabama is adding a Cincinnati staffer.

Indianapolis Colts: Ian Rapoport tweets that Shane Steichen's deal is for six-years.

Tennessee Titans: Former Broncos offensive coordinator Justin Outten is joining the staff as their running backs coach / run game coordinator, Tom Pelissero tweets.

Wyoming: Defensive ends coach Marty English has announced his retirement after coaching college football for 37 seasons.

LA Rams: Offensive assistant Zak Kromer is getting promoted to assistant offensive line coach, Jourdan Rodrigue tweets. Kromer has been with the team the past six seasons.

Tampa Bay Bucs: Seahawks quarterbacks coach Dave Canales has finished his interview for the offensive coordinator job.

Coaching Tree: With more than 10 former staffers working in the NFL and nearly 20 at Power 5 programs, UT Martin head coach Jason Simpson has quite a #CoachingTree

Texas Tech: The program has announced contract extensions for their entire on-field staff, plus raises for offensive coordinator Zach Kittley and defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter. Details here.

North Park (D-III - Chicago, IL): North Park is accepting applications for the position of full-time assistant coach on defense. Position flexibility exists, as we are looking for the best overall fit. This 12-month benefit-eligible position includes, but is not limited to, assisting with all phases of a successful Division III Football program. Very competitive salary range. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and a personal commitment to North Park’s mission of Christian higher education. Ole Miss: Kevin Smith is finalizing a deal to join Lane Kiffin's staff, Chris Low tweets. Smith previously worked with Kiffin at FAU and Ole Miss, before he left to join the staff at Miami last season.

Oregon: A former GA is returning to Eugene as Oregon's offensive line coach, sources tell FootballScoop. Update> Oregon has now announced this one. 

Georgia Southern: Georgia Southern is looking to hire a defensive quality control coach. Proficiency in XOS and Visio a must. Immediate Opening. Email gsfootball@georgiasouthern.edu.

Maryland: The Terps are set to hire a former Conference USA, SEC and Pac-12 head coach to his first assistant coaching post since 2007.

Miami: Cincinnati inside linebackers coach Derek Nicholson, who spent the last three seasons at Louisville, is expected to join the 'Canes as linebackers coach, per multiple outlets.

St. Norbert (D-III - WI): St. Norbert College, located in the Green Bay suburb of De Pere, seeks a WR coach. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing or coaching WR's, but will hire the best overall candidate. These positions will be responsible for coaching their own position; running meetings; assisting in game planning, film analysis and breakdown (HUDL), recruiting; and other duties assigned by Head Coach and Off. Coordinator. This is a 12 month position with a salary of $12,000. No housing/other benefits. Review of candidates will begin immediately. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. Kutztown (D-II - PA): Kutztown University is seeking a part-time Wide Receivers Coach. Duties include coaching the assigned position, recruiting an assigned territory, and assisting on special teams. Salary range is 10-15K. NO housing or meals are available. Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree, and college playing or college coaching experience. Candidates will only be considered if they are formally applied via Kutztown HR Website. Local applicants are encouraged. Carolina Panthers: The team has formally announced the addition of assistant head coach / running backs coach Duce Staley, who spent the last few years with the Lions in the same capacity.

Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals have announced Jonathan Gannon as their new head coach, sharing that it is a five-year deal.

Eastern Kentucky (FCS): Maxwell Smith, the former Kentucky and SDSU quarterback, has accepted the quarterbacks job on the EKU staff. Smith spent the past two seasons working with the quarterbacks at Heidelberg (D-III - OH).

Illinois: The program has now formally announced the addition of Robby Discher in the roles we laid out this morning.

Minot State (D-II - ND): Marshawn Friloux has accepted an offensive graduate assistant role at Minot State where he will work with the running backs.

Virginia Union (D-II): Quinn Brown has been named offensive line coach and run game coordinator. He previously served in various roles at Wyoming, William Jewell and Northern Colorado.

University of Mary (D-II - ND): Once the youngest head coach in college football, Craig Bagnell is stepping down at his alma mater to pursue a new opportunity.

Wagner (FCS - NY): Per source, Juan Soto has accepted the receivers job at Wagner. Soto previously served in an offensive quality control role at Yale (FCS) and prior to that was an offensive graduate assistant at Kent State working with the quarterbacks.

San Francisco 49ers: David Lombardi tweets that he expects safeties coach Daniel Bullocks to get promoted to defensive backs coach following the departure of Cory Undlin to the Texans (see below).

Houston Texans: Former 49ers defensive passing game specialist and secondary coach Cory Undlin is joining the staff as defensive pass game coordinator, Aaron Wilson shares.

LA Chargers: The team has hired Doug Nussmeier as their new quarterbacks coach, per Dianna Russini. He coached the Cowboys quarterbacks the last few seasons.

Miami: FootballScoop can confirm Houston offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson is set to become the new offensive play caller for Mario Cristobal.

Georgia: The one thing that could derail Kirby Smart's Georgia Freight Train has now happened.

Northern Michigan (D-II): Northern Michigan is looking to hire multiple positions: A full-time skill position coach on offense or defense. For full-time position applicants, please apply on the NMU HR website. Also hiring a restricting-earnings coach on offense or defense ($17,500/yr stipend). Prairie View A&M (FCS): Per source, Prairie View A&M has promoted Alvin Fosselman III to the role of defensive coordinator. Fosselman is entering his sixth season with the program, where he has worked with the linebackers and spent the 2022 season as special teams coordinator.

LaGrange (D-III - GA): LaGrange College is seeking candidates for a full-time Assistant Football Coach/Offensive Coordinator. Ideally, this person will coach either the Quarterbacks or the Offensive Line. This position will assist the Head Football Coach with all facets of the program including, but not limited to: Coaching all aspects of the offense; Coaching a position group; Game and practice preparation and planning; Scouting and video breakdown; Recruitment of qualified student-athletes; and Academic monitoring of student-athletes. The selected candidate would be asked to start as soon as possible. Requirements: bachelor's degree, previous collegiate playing and/or coaching experience with demonstrated experience in recruiting and retaining student-athletes at the NCAA III level. Endicott (D-III - MA): Endicott College is looking for a Quarterback coach with potential Coordinator responsibilities. You will be responsible for your own recruiting area, and perform all other duties assigned by the Head Coach. Experience playing and coaching is preferred. Responsibilities include all aspects of the football program, including practice organization, academic support and recruiting. . Additional responsibilities include assisting the Head Coach in all facets of the program to develop a competitive NCAA Division III Football program. Indianapolis Colts: The team has now formally announced the hire of Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen as their new head coach.

Wayne State (D-II - NE): Wayne State College has an IMMEDIATE opening for a graduate assistant or restricted earnings position coaching Defensive Backs. The position will be in charge of position meetings, assisting in weekly game plan, on/off campus recruiting, film breakdown and other duties assigned by the Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator. Illinois: Sources confirm to FootballScoop Bret Bielema is planning to hire Tulane's Robby Discher as the Illini's next special teams coordinator / tight ends coach.

Union College (D-III - NY): The Union College Football program is looking to fill a part-time, limited earnings Offensive Skill (QB/WR preferred) position. Under the direction of the Head Football Coach organizes, develops, and leads a highly competitive Division III football program in support of the mission and core values of Union College. The position includes a secondary responsibility within Fraternity and Sorority Life. Previous experience coaching and/or playing is preferred. Boston College: Pete Thamel tweets that Boston College has come to an agreement to bring back Matt Applebaum as offensive line coach. We wrote about BC's pursuit of Matt a few days ago. Applebaum spent last season coaching the offensive line for the Dolphins and was the offensive line coach at BC in 2020-21.

Western Michigan: Per source, Western Kentucky defensive quality control coach Alec Lettl has left to join the Broncos staff as a defensive graduate assistant working with the defensive line.

Notre Dame: Utah offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig will remain at Utah Pete Thamel tweets who adds that "Ludwig's buyout proved to be an obstacle." Sources tell FootballScoop between Ludwig's buyout and Jim Harding's (Utah's offensive line coach), Notre Dame was facing a buyout bill approaching $4 million. 

Up seven, should you go for two?: We talk through the scenarios....if you score late to go up seven, should you try the extra point to push your lead to eight or go for two to try to make it a two score lead? 

Wroclaw (Poland): The Wroclaw Panthers in the European League of American Football (ELF) are searching for a Defensive Assistant Football Coach. This is a seasonal job running from the end of February or end of April until the end of September. The job includes transportation to and from Europe, monthly pay, an apartment, health insurance public transportation and some catered meals. The ELF is going into this third year of operations and now boasts 17 teams all over Europe. Applicants should be passport ready.  Positions possible, Defensive Line. Campbellsville (NAIA - KY): Perry Thomas is stepping down after leading the program for over a decade.

Stony Brook (FCS - NY): Trevor Warner has joined the staff coaching the safeties. He spent the past three seasons at Ithaca College (D-III - NY) as their defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach.

Oklahoma: Brent Venables unleashes a 5x #ScholarshipAlert.

West Alabama (D-II): The University of West Alabama has had a game dropped from the 2023 schedule by an opponent and currently looking for opponents for 2023 week 2 (9/7 or 9/9) and week 8 (10/21) D2 games preferred. E-mail bgilliland@uwa.edu if interested in discussing options.

Texas A&M: Texas A&M is expected to fill its running backs job with a 2022 FootballScoop Coach of the Year finalist.

Kansas State: Sources tell FootballScoop that Kansas State has found their new receivers coach.

Houston Texans: The Texans' new quarterbacks coach undoubtedly grew up dreaming of playing QB for the Texans himself.
