ACC: No news is expected from tonight's meeting of ACC presidents, tweets Pete Thamel. The conference will continue seeking medical advice as it prepares for a fall season.

Syracuse: Syracuse players skipped practice for the third time in the past eight days today, according to Stephen Bailey of the Syracuse Post-Standard. The Orange want an increase from the program's every-other-week testing.

NCAA: The NCAA has officially canceled all Division I fall championships. What it means for football.

College Football Playoff: The CFP released a statement today confirming the selection committee plans to move forward as scheduled this year, with Selection Sunday on Dec. 20, the Rose and Sugar semifinals on Jan. 1, and the title game on Jan. 11.

FCS: The Ohio Valley and SoCon are pushing their seasons to the spring, meaning there will be no conference games at the FCS level this fall. Update: The Ohio Valley has not come to a decision yet. Discussion will continue tomorrow.

ACC: ACC presidents will meet for a "final final" meeting on the football season today at 4:30 p.m. ET, Florida State president John Thrasher told the Tampa Bay Times. More here.

Spring Football: In addition to the Brohm Plan, there's another idea floating around to play ball this spring, and this one reportedly has the approval of the NFL.

Big Sky (FCS): After previously allowing schools to pursue non-conference games, the Big Sky will not play football at all and instead focus on competing this spring.

Ellsworth (JC - IA): Ellsworth CC is looking to hire a wide receivers coach. This would be a stipend position with the potential to provide free housing and meals. BYU vs. Troy: BYU has announced a home-and-home series with Troy beginning Sept. 26 at BYU.

FIU vs. UCF: With FIU deciding to postpone all fall sports through September 16th, the FIU vs. UCF game scheduled for Sept. 12 is being cancelled or moved to another date, Brett McMurphy tweets and adds that FIU was scheduled to play Jacksonville State (FCS - AL) on Sept. 3.

Northern Sun (D-II): The Northern Sun is ending its fall season. The conference had pushed back to Sept. 26, but will now attempt to play in the spring.

Detailed plan to play in the Spring: Jeff Brohm has now released a seven page outline of how they could play in the Spring.

Southland Conference (FCS): The Southland Conference is postponing fall sports and moving football to the spring, but said non-conference games can still be played at the institution's discretion. The league consists of Abilene Christian, Central Arkansas, Houston Baptist, Lamar, McNeese, Nicholls, Northwestern State, Sam Houston State, Southeastern Louisiana, Stephen F. Austin and Incarnate Word.

Nebraska: Nebraska has ended its short-lived rebellion against the Big Ten.

New Mexico State: The Aggies are postponing their fall football season, the program has announced. The program was down to four scheduled games and faced a 14-day quarantine each time they crossed state borders. They will try to play in the spring.

A plan for Spring games: Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm has released a written plan for playing in the Spring.

Clarion (D-II - PA): Clarion has an opening for a defensive graduate assistant position. The position has an hourly stipend and discounted housing. Navarro (JC - TX): Navarro JC has an immediate opening for a Defensive Intern working closely with the Defensive Coordinator. Housing and Meals are included, but no stipend. Candidates with Video, Visio and Hudl skills are encouraged to apply. Contact Todd Ivicic at toddivicic@gmail.com.

Conference USA: Conference leadership met with medical experts last night and reaffirmed they are continuing to plan for a season while simultaneously continuing to follow and attempt to best analyze the medical data as we all learn more about this virus with each passing week.

Brevard (D-III - NC): Following the departure of Jeron Gouveia to Virginia Tech, head coach Bill Khayat has added Martin Bayless to the staff as special teams coordinator / safeties coach. Bayless has experience in the NFL, NFL Europe, the UFL, the AAF, and was most recently with the Los Angeles Wildcats in the XFL.

Point (NAIA - GA): Former Cincinnati Christian (NAIA - OH) head coach Travis Zeiders has accepted the defensive coordinator / linebackers job, per source.

NCAA eligibility & recruiting: The Division I Council has recommended to the D 1 Board of Directors that any Fall sport athlete who competes and then opts out or whose season is cut short due to Covid-19 will have their eligibility extended by a year (as long as they participate in less than 50% of the maximum number of competitions allowed). Additionally, the NCAA extended the dead period through at least September 30th.
