Ball Today: The big ones are on tonight for the nightcap, but first we've got a handful of other good games. ReliaQuest Bowl - LSU vs. Wisconsin (12pm EST on ESPN), Citrus Bowl - Iowa vs. Tennesee (1pm EST on ABC), Fiesta Bowl - Oregon vs. Liberty (1pm EST on ESPN), The Rose Bowl - Michigan vs Alabama (5pm EST on ESPN) and The Sugar Bowl - Washington vs Texas (8:45pm EST on ESPN).

Grambling (FCS - LA): Sources tell FootballScoop John Simon will not remain at Grambling as part of Mickey Joseph's staff. Simon, who served as offensive coordinator this season, previously was on staff at Memphis, Arizona State, Southern Miss and Louisiana Lafayette.  

Duke: Yesterday it was reported that Penn State analyst Gabe Infante would be joining the Duke staff, and sources tell FootballScoop Infante's role will be special teams coordinator / defensive line coach.

Florida A&M (FCS): With Willie Simmons off to Duke, assistant head coach James Colzie III has been elevated to interim head coach.

Duke: Florida A&M (FCS) head coach Willie Simmons has formally resigned to become the running backs coach for Manny Diaz and the Blue Devils.

Northeastern State (D-II - OK): Per source, the staff is coming together as follows: Cal Lutheran (D-III - CA) offensive coordinator Noah Sutherland (OL), Chaffey College (JC - CA) assistant head coach / defensive coordinator Junior Tanuvasa (DC), Abilene Christian (FCS - TX) offensive graduate assistant Curtis Chiaverini (QBs), and Valdosta State (D-II - GA) assistant corners coach Jeff Richards (DBs).

Campbell (FCS - NC): Houston Christian (FCS - TX) head coach Braxton Harris is expected to be the new head coach of the Fighting Camels, per multiple reports. Harris led HCU to a 5-5 record and their first winning season in FCS league play. Before taking over at Houston Christian, Harris spent two seasons as linebackers coach at Campbell.

West Virginia Wesleyan (D-II): West Virginia Wesleyan College, located in Buckhannon, WV is accepting applications for a full-time offensive coordinator. Experience in coaching offense at the collegiate level is a priority. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing/coaching the QB position. This position will be responsible for coordinating the offense, holding group/individual meetings, managing recruiting areas and other duties assigned by the Head Coach. Requirements include college coaching and recruiting experience. Review of candidates will begin immediately. Belhaven (D-III - MS): Wheaton (D-III - IL) defensive coordinator CJ Nightingale has accepted the head coaching job.

XFL / USFL Merger: Plans are starting to come together for the merger of the two leagues, including a new name.

Maine Maritime (D-III): Maine Maritime Academy is seeking applicants for a restricted earnings DL coach. Coach will be responsible for coaching their own position group and assisting the coordinators and head coach in all areas of the program. The stipend pays $16,000 and includes housing. Troy: Sources tell FootballScoop Gerad Parker is bringing Caleb Carbine from Notre Dame to Troy in an on-field role.

Michigan: Just before his Wolverines take on Alabama in the Rose Bowl, word is out Jim Harbaugh has taken a significant step towards returning to the NFL.

Missouri: Mizzou and Eli Drinkwitz have agreed to a contract extension.

Kirby Smart: Following a resounding win over Florida State where a total of 54 players from both teams were out due to opt outs, entering the portal, or injuries, Smart went viral with thoughts on why the postseason in college football needs change.

Texas A&M: Auburn's Wes McGriff is reportedly heading to College Station to join Mike Elko's staff.
