Syracuse: Sources tell FootballScoop that former Rutgers offensive graduate assistant Phillip Guard has accepted a position on the staff assisting with the offensive line.

St. Augustine (D-II - NC): Fayetteville State (D-II - NC) offensive coordinator Howard Feggins has been announced as the new leader of the program. Feggins previously spent four seasons at CSU-Pueblo (D-II - CO).

Troy: Linebackers coach Tayler Polk, a finalist for our FootballScoop Linebackers Coach of the Year Award this past season, has been elevated to co-defensive coordinator.

South Dakota (FCS): The South Dakota staff has added two members, including a Division II offensive coordinator.

Oklahoma Panhandle State (NAIA): OPSU is in search of an offensive coordinator. The Assistant Coach will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of administering the football program, including coaching, recruiting, and sports performance. The coach will provide individual and team instruction to student-athletes on rules and fundamentals, pre-competition activities, skill attainment, techniques, and methods required to demonstrate satisfactory performance in a safe manner. The coach will need to effectively recruit new student-athletes that have the ability to achieve success academically and athletically at OPSU. This is a 12 month full time position. Misericordia (D-III - PA): Jaret Jystad has joined the staff as an offensive assistant.

Bryant (FCS - RI): Bryant University has an immediate opening for a Defensive Quality Control Position. This is a volunteer position with no housing or benefits. There is a small, bi-weekly stipend available in conjunction with working in the Athletics Equipment Room. Local applicants are encouraged to apply. This is an entry level position designed for highly motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and an interest in gaining direct work experience at the FCS Level. Ideal candidates must be highly organized, proficient in XOS, Microsoft Excel, Visio, and other computer skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: video upload and editing, opponent film breakdown, opponent reports, creating weekly defensive scouting reports using Visio, assisting with recruiting, tracking recruiting activity, and any other responsibilities assigned by the Head Coach. Previous experience coaching or playing is preferred. All interested and qualified applicants should email their resume, references, and cover letter to Football@bryant.edu.

Davenport (D-II - MI): Former Rhode Island (FCS) quality control coach Conor Floden has accepted the running backs job.

Rutgers: Per source, Nasir Jones has been promoted from player development to defensive quality control / assistant safeties coach.

Troy: Sources confirm to FootballScoop that Jon Sumrall has received a new four-year deal. Pete Thamel has shared the same.

Kansas: Donavon Mitchell has joined the Jayhawks staff as a defensive graduate assistant.

Dayton (FCS - OH): Dayton receivers coach Sam Costantino has been promoted to recruiting coordinator, per source.

Blinn (JC - TX): Blinn College is accepting applications for Linebacker assistant coach. This is a 12 month, benefits eligible position with a salary range of $35,568yr. Essential Duties: Work closely with the Head Coach and Assistant Coaches to help to teach, mentor and monitor the young men/women involved in the Blinn athletic program. Assist the coach(s) in practice, games or events. Ability to travel with the team and/or coaching staff to games, events and recruitment. Assist in the supervision of extra-curricular activities. Compiles sports information, including but not limited to statistics and reporting, as assigned. Assists with promotions and marketing of the Blinn College athletic program. Helps maintain the athletic equipment and facilities. Assists with scouting, recruiting and other work related duties. Attend all required meetings with Athletic Director. Assist in supervising the strength and conditioning program. Assist in the supervision of the Colleges residence halls and dining hall. Adhere to all Blinn College policies and procedures. Adhere to all NJCAA rules and regulations. Performs other related tasks as assigned. Preferred Experience: Enrollment in an accredited graduate degree program throughout the period of employment. Bachelor’s degree in Health or Kinesiology from an accredited college or university or relevant certification. Coaching experience at the Junior College, University or High School level. Coaching experience with defensive backs. Proficient using Hudl software or other video software. Knowledge of the Southwest Junior College Football Conference rules and regulations. North Carolina Wesleyan (D-III): Receivers coach Justin Clark has been promoted to offensive coordinator. Clark joined the program prior to the 2022 season after two seasons as the head coach at North Gaston (NC).

Ohio State: Head strength coach Mickey Marotti has signed a new three-year contract that increases his annual salary to $862,238, Joey Kaufman shares.  

Florida: Blake Shrader, who spent the past seven seasons at UAB as defensive backs coach and the past four seasons as pass game coordinator, has joined the staff as a defensive quality control coach.

San Francisco 49ers: The organization has now announced the hires of Steve Wilks as defensive coordinator, Klint Kubiak as offensive passing game specialist, Jacob Webster as defensive quality control coach and Max Molz as coaching operations assistant.
