The Minnesota Vikings and many throughout the NFL and coaching community are mourning the loss of our colleague, friend and longtime college scout Kevin McCabe, who passed away on Saturday, Sept. 3, following a courageous battle with leukemia. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday January 14 at 2pm in Woodland, CA. All are welcome. Please RSVP to Torin McCabe at tjb_mac@att.net if you are planning to attend. The service will be held at the City of Woodland Community Center - 2001 East St, Woodland, CA 95776 which is approximately 17 minutes West of the Sacramento airport. In lieu of flowers the family is asking to consider a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The scholarship will be awarded to a current member of the football team every year, to help that player with school costs. It would be amazing if we (football community) can get the Scholarship going so it can have sustained longevity to carry on his name and his love for small college football.

In four-down fronts, safeties are the insert defenders in pressure concepts whereas in three-down looks those players are linebackers. In this exclusive article, University of Delaware defensive coordinator Manny Rojas explains how he terms three deep, two deep and man pressure concepts within his 3-High safety operation. The Blue Hens finished 3rd in total defense (282 ypg), 2nd in passing yards allowed (137 ypg), and 5th in scoring defense (18.2 ppg) among all FCS schools. Read more (and see game film).
