Wyoming: The University of Wyoming Football Sports Performance Department is now accepting applications for highly motivated volunteer interns for winter 2025 (January 13th through May). These positions are UNPAID. Successful candidates will work directly with football and assist with all training sessions in compliance with NCAA rules. Responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: hands on experience assisting the staff in all aspects of the strength and speed programs; assisting with GPS, Force Plates, Velocity Based Training, and other performance tracking systems. Data collection and interpretation; setting up and breaking down of training sessions; assisting with routine maintenance of training facilities; as well as other assigned duties. This internship program emphasizes educating, empowering and utilizing interns in a way that will help them become better coaches that are equipped to best serve student athletes and operate professionally at a high level. Minimum Requirements: a current CPR/AED certification. Ideal candidates possess a strong work ethic, punctuality, high level of attention to detail, desire to learn, and a passion to become a strength and conditioning professional. Preferred qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field. SCCC, CSCS, USAW certifications or working towards them. Experience as a collegiate athlete. The official start date will be January 13th and end at the beginning of May.
