Ottawa (NAIA - KS): Ottawa University is looking to hire a strength and conditioning graduate assistant. $5200/year, 100% tuition covered, if your certification is still needed over this summer we can re-imburse you for that, and 100 meals/semester included. Ottawa is a suburb of Kansas City; also 25 minutes from Lawrence, KS, 1 hour 10 minutes from Manhattan, KS, and 2 hours from Wichita, KS. USAW, CSCS, SCCC, or an equivalent national certification is preferred but not required at this point. CPR/First Aid; there will be a free all department CPR/First Aid Course in August. Gallaudet University (D-III β Washington, DC): Gallaudet University is seeking a well-qualified intern for the 2023 Fall semester. Gallaudet University is the premier institute of higher learning for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The successful applicants will gain hands-on experience working with all 14 NCAA Division III varsity sports. It is the goal of Gallaudet University staff to provide interns with a well-rounded experience incorporating all facets of strength and conditioning. Interns who are entering into the internship program will assist the strength coaches with all sports and implement the strength, power, speed, agility, conditioning, movement assessment, and corrective exercise programs. In addition, interns will be taught the fundamentals of yearly planning and program design. An emphasis will be placed upon the professional development of each intern in an effort to prepare them for a career as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have or be working towards the completion of a degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education or another related field. Interns with either collegiate athletic or coaching experience are preferred but not required. A strong work ethic and willingness to work extended hours are a must. In order to apply, each candidate must be First Aid and CPR/AED certified and either working towards or already certified strength coach. Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) is preferred. If the successful candidate has no prior knowledge, it will be expected that the intern is willing to learn. Interested applicants shall submit a cover letter, resume, and two references.
