Shepherd (D-II - WV): Shepherd University Strength and Conditioning is seeking applications for a 2-year Graduate Assistant position. This position will be responsible for the programming, implementation, and management of 4-6 teams while assisting with 1-3 other sports. The qualified candidate will report to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator and will assist with the everyday operations of two facilities. The applicants should possess prior experience in a collegiate sports performance setting. This position provides a tuition waiver towards a master’s degree at SU, a housing waiver, a semesterly meal plan, and a stipend all as compensation. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required as well as a certification from an accredited strength and conditioning organization (SCCC or CSCS) and CPR/AED/First Aid certification. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, supervising, and actively coaching Strength and Conditioning programs for athletes and active individuals utilizing the Wilkes University Fitness Center. This individual should have a strong desire and interest in continuing their career as a high school, collegiate, or professional level strength and conditioning coach.
