Harding (D-II - AR): Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas is accepting applications for volunteer strength and conditioning interns for Spring 2021. Report date will be January 6th and will run through May 1st. Harding is seeking individuals with the strong desire to become a strength and conditioning coach, relentless energy, passion, and a Christian faith. Position may fulfill course credit. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assisting with supervision and execution of strength and conditioning programs for various sports (Football & Olympic). Attending to daily maintenance of the training facilities. Gain knowledge through internship curriculum. Qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelor’s/master’s degree in an exercise science or related field; Certified in CPR/First Aid; A strong desire to become a Strength and Conditioning Coach; Pursuing CSCCa-SCCC and/or NSCA-CSCS certification(s). Millsaps (D-III - MS): Millsaps College, a NCAA Division III institution located in Jackson, Mississippi and member of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA), is seeking applicants for a full-time, 12-month position as the Coordinator of Strength and Fitness / Hall Activities Center Director. This position will report to the Athletic Director and has an anticipated start date of January 4, 2021. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning will be directly responsible for the administration, supervision, and development of a comprehensive fitness program for all varsity athletic teams. In addition, the manager is responsible for the supervision and management of the Hall Activity Center (HAC) and oversees the campus intramural program. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree required in Kinesiology, Exercise Science or related field. Master's Degree preferred. CSCS Certification required – NCSA/USAW will be considered. AED/CPR certification required. 1-2 years related experience working in a college setting. Proven ability to work independently. Wagner College: The Wagner College Sports Performance Staff is currently accepting applications for (4) Internship positions for the 2021 spring semester. Qualified candidates will work directly with the Sports Performance staff from mid-January 2021 to May 2021 and potentially later, if appropriate. Potential interns will be responsible for daily upkeep, and data tracking, and any other duties assigned by staff. Interns will partake in a coaching development program where they will receive true on the job experience by working with all 25 Division 1 Sports including but not limited to Football and Men’s and Women’s Basketball. This is an UNPAID position, with the opportunity to build your professional network and gain valuable recommendations for career advancement in the field of strength and conditioning. Graduate Assistant Coach Preferred qualifications include previous coaching experience and/or competitive athletic experience. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, enthusiasm, effective communication skills, positive energy, and A willingness to work. A bachelor’s degree or a degree in process of completion. CPR/First Aid/AED ARE REQUIRED. Certification from a recognized strength and conditioning association (USAW, CSCS, CSCCa) is preferred but not required. Monmouth (NJ): Monmouth University (NJ) is searching for three volunteer interns to be a part of their strength and conditioning staff for the spring semester of 2021. This position will have no monetary compensation, but will prepare the individual for the rigors of strength and conditioning in a Division I atmosphere. All applicants should have a strong desire to work in the field of strength and conditioning, however, candidates new to the field are encouraged to apply. This will be a hands on internship that will follow a 10- week curriculum designed to enhance their experience at Monmouth University and prepare the candidate for both the CSCS and the SCCC exams. UMass Lowell: UMass Lowell, a Division I institution with 16 varsity sports and a member of the America East and Hockey East Conferences, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Sports Performance Coach. This positions meets the requirements needed for a 640 hour CSCCa (Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified) approved mentored practicum and certification examination. REQUIREMENTS: · Bachelor’s degree · Certification (SCCC or CSCS) · Minimum of 1 Year experience in a collegiate athletic setting ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS: · Master’s Degree and SCCC Certification WORKING CONDITIONS: · Regular early morning and evening hours required, occasional weekends during peak seasons · Teams assignments: TBD A job offer for this position is contingent upon a satisfactory response to a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check and review CLERY certification within first 30 days of employment.
