Luther (D-III - IA): Luther College seeks applications for a full-time Head Performance Coach / Assistant Director of Legends Fitness Center. As the Head Performance Coach, the successful candidate will develop, organize, and monitor individualized strength training programs for members of nineteen intercollegiate athletic teams; organize and manage individual and team strength data; provide instruction in proper lifting techniques and speed development; collaborate with athletic training staff to facilitate injury rehabilitation; work collaboratively with the Legends Center Director to create a safe and clean environment; develop facility policies and procedures, and assure equipment is purchased and maintained; contribute to fiscal oversight for the budget; assist the Director of Legends Center in developing, implementing, and enforcing policies in a cooperative and respectful manner; assist the Director of Legends Center in developing, implementing, communicating and monitoring risk management policies to assure that a safe environment exists for all users; train, schedule and manage student workers; collaborate with Director of Legends Center and head sport coaches to schedule strength and conditioning activities; meet with the Director of Athletics and Associate Director of Athletics on a regular basis to review strength and conditioning programs and facility usage and purchases; serve on various committees as needed. Qualifications include: 1) a Bachelorβs Degree required; 2) Masterβs degree preferred in Exercise Science or related field; and 3) a current NCAA-approved strength and conditioning certification.
