Indiana University of Pennsylvania (D-II): Indiana University of PA is currently looking for a Spring ‘25 Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach. The daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assist in all aspects of the daily functions of the S&C program for 19 DII Teams including football, Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities, Data input and upkeep, Learn to lead warm up, training sessions, recovery sessions, etc., Weekly professional development – program design and job acquisition skills Minimum Qualifications: Strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm, and effective communication skills & the desire to become a strength and conditioning coach. The Internship will run from January 6, 2025, through May 9, 2025. This is an unpaid position however the CSCS certification will be covered by IUP and an apartment is available for subleasing immediately. The position’s goal is to transition the individual into a 2025- 2026 Graduate Assistant. It is strongly advised that all potential candidates make sure that this internship is economically feasible before applying. Troy: Troy University is seeking applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant Coach - Strength and Conditioning. The ideal candidate will provide leadership for the program and assure the program complies with the overall objectives of the institution and the department. They will also ensure the program adheres to all applicable NCAA, conference and institutional rules and regulations. The Strength Coach position in Athletics – Football is responsible for assisting the Football Strength Coach with operating the weight room for football student-athletes; assisting in teaching/training of sound techniques to insure the safety of student-athletes; working with athletic training staff to provide injury rehabilitation; and maintaining the cleanliness of the weight room. Stipend included by semester, details to be discussed upon inquiry Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution; Background in Strength and Conditioning. South Dakota (FCS): The University of South Dakota Coyotes (Paid Intern) Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for: Support for assigned coaches/teams (Football, aid M&W Basketball, Volleyball) as well as implementation of strength and conditioning programs for teams assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach (potentially Swim & Dive or Track & Field). Applicant must exhibit ability to instruct, supervise and demonstrate associated exercises in a weightlifting based training environment, as well as appropriate performance development and conditioning strategies. Successful candidate will be expected to coordinate with the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, Athletic Trainers, and Sport Coaches regarding the health, welfare, physical and scholastic development of the student-athlete.
