Auburn: The Auburn University Football Strength and Conditioning Staff is now accepting applications for professional interns. This position will offer monetary compensation to be discussed following the interview process. Candidates for this position must be loyal, knowledgeable, passionate, organized, solid communicators, accountable, and able to demonstrate poise and perseverance in difficult situations. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a related field. Certification or in the pursuit of a certification from the NSCA or CSCCa is required. Texas Southern: The Texas Southern University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for TWO (2) Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coaches to begin in the summer semester of 2023. Priority consideration will be given to candidates who possess or are working towards certification through the NSCA, CSCCa or USAW and are CPR / First Aid / AED Certified. Desired attributes include outstanding organizational and computer skills, great work ethic, professionalism and most importantly the ability to command the room. Previous coaching and / or playing experience is a plus. Verbal communication skills with diverse populations is a must. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Set up and breakdown of training sessions for assigned sports, general maintenance and upkeep of Athletic Facilities, communication with Sport Coaches, Athletic Training staff and Administration. Must be able to physically demonstrate strength and Olympic lifts as well as speed progressions and change of direction movements. The sport assignments will be based on experience. Preferably the successful candidates will assist Football and be the lead coach for 1-2 Olympic sports. Selected candidates will receive valuable experience in the day-to-day operations of a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Department, program design and implementation, nutrition, speed, agility and explosive training. Wingate: Wingate is looking to hire an assistant sports performance coach. Primary Responsibilities: Design and implement sports performance programs for Olympic Sports Teams assigned by the Director of Sports Performance, as well as assist with the other sports teams of the university, Effectively teach and execute proper technique of lifts and drills; strong command and supervision of team workouts, Assist sports medicine staff with rehabilitation of sports related injuries to student-athletes, Coordinate and mentor current/future interns and volunteer Sport Performance coaches. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, Current NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC certification, One + years of collegiate or professional sports performance experience, CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
