Sources tell FootballScoop that Saj Thakkar is leaving the Harvard staff for a coordinator opportunity at the Division II level.
Per source, Thakkar is set to become the new offensive play caller at Bentley (D-II - MA).
Saj spent the last five seasons on staff at Harvard coaching the running backs, where Aidan Borguet has led the league in rushing the last two seasons.
Thakkar was a member of the FootballScoop Minority Watch List / Rising Stars we put together last May.
Before joining the Harvard staff, Thakkar coached in a variety of roles at SUNY Maritime (D-III), with his last two seasons on staff as the program's offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach.
His work at SUNY Maritime helped him become a selection to the AFCA's 30 Under 30 Leadership Institute, and was one of just six coaches from the Division III level selected.
He will join a program at Bentley that finished last fall 7-3 and 5-2 in conference play.
