Nevada lands new coordinator (coordinator)

A former Pac-12 player has landed a coordinator opportunity at Nevada, sources confirm to FootballScoop.

Peyton Yanagi, a former Oregon long snapper, is reportedly set to land the special teams coordinator job at Nevada.

Matt Zenitz was first to share the news.

Yanagi, a product of St. Louis HS (Honolulu, HI), joins the staff from Tulsa, where he was an analyst.

He previously served as a graduate assistant for Ken Wilson and the Wolf Pack in 2022.

Wilson and the program had previously announced Cal analyst Michael Barton as special teams coordinator and outside linebackers coach back in March.
