Opposite Side Mesh Mechanics in Boundary RPOs: Boundary side reads in the RPO game are more efficient for two reasons: the route options are limited and so is this coverage. These two elements clean up the post-snap picture for the quarterback who can quickly identify the extra fitter and throw off him. Central College (IA) was 90% efficient in the RPO game, and the boundary menu was a big reason why- leaving one opposing coordinator to say “we didn’t have an answer for it.” Offensive coordinator Ryan Maiuri details for X&O Labs how he combined an opposite side mesh to influence the boundary safety and create more space in his RPO menu. Comstock Park (MI): Defensive coordinator Jinks Arnold has accepted a position on the Hope College (D-III - MI) staff. Arnold previously worked with the defensive backs at Ferris State (D-II) and spent one season as the head coach at Benton Harbor (MI).
Bovina (TX): The head coaching job is open as Coby Emery is taking a position at Floydada HS (TX).
Goose Creek (Charleston, SC): Goose Creek High School in Charleston, SC is looking for a Varsity Defensive Coach. Priority will be given to a DL coach, but will consider any experienced defensive coach to make it work. There are many available teaching positions in the school and within the district. Life Oak Cliff (Dallas, TX): Life Oak Cliff HS (Dallas, TX) is seeking certified teachers and assistant football coaches. MUST be certified or already passed your content exam in History, Sped, or CTE. No PE positions are available. Position groups could include Varsity WR, Varsity DB, and other position groups. Defensive coordinator duties are possible for the right candidate. Strength and conditioning coaches are also encouraged to apply as there is potential for a football S&C position for the right candidate. Starting teaching salary with zero experience and full certification is $56,500, and varsity coaching stipend is $5,000. If out of state, must be willing to move quickly.
