FootballScoop's Weekend Primer: Clemson-Georgia, Notre Dame-Texas A&M, LSU-USC plus Deion Sanders Year 2 and much more (College Football Opening Weekend)

Prime Time for Coach Prime.

Tonight. Thursday eyeballs, a platform to once again have the nation see your program with only one matchup tonight that features two Power Conference programs going head-to-head: North Carolina at Minnesota.

So, Deion Sanders the floor is yours. The field ... will it belong to Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders and fascinating two-way star Travis Hunter?

North Dakota State hardly is your classic, mismatched FCS team just traveling for a paycheck. The Bison own wins against FBS programs and, more importantly, own belief in themselves.

Tim Polasek's debut as the Head Bison will be an instant test for Deion Sanders and Colorado -- who will see their proclamations of being an exponentially more physical team on both sides of the ball tested from the opening kick.

Can PJ Fleck get Minnesota back on track as he closes in on a decade at the helm of the Gophers?

Can Mack Brown and North Carolina move into the post-Drake Maye era with a road win?

No stakes are larger, anywhere, than in College Station, Texas, and Gainesville, Florida.

In the former, Marcus Freeman enters year three at Notre Dame and sees his No. 7 Irish as slight underdogs against Mike Elko's first Texas A&M team.

It's the biggest game of Freeman's coaching career, and with no conference affiliation and Florida State already absorbing a damaging loss, the Irish need this type of opportunity to make a statement.

In the Swamp, Billy Napier enters Year 3 three games under .500 in charge of the Gators and with the nation's unquestioned toughest schedule.

Both Napier and Miami boss Mario Cristobal need a win -- but Napier needs it more.

Georgia's No. 1 and Clemson ... is not. But the Tigers are probably or potentially the ACC's best team. Does that matter this weekend?

Do Bulldogs questions at running back and some defensive spots show up, or have the Dogs recruited to such elite depths that they truly just plug-and-play?

Don't discount the magnitude of college football in Vegas.

Yes, Sin City is going to start someone's season -- Brian Kelly's LSU Tigers or Lincoln Riley's USC Trojans -- off with a sinful loss.

Dive in. Discuss. Debate. Enjoy.
