FootballScoop Weekend Rewind: What we learned from Alabama-Georgia; Boise State, Kentucky, Notre Dame and more (Ryan Williams)

Alabama dominated. Alabama rallied. Alabama held on.

All are true, and all are elements in Kalen DeBoer's Crimson Tide now being the top-ranked team in college football, courtesy their 41-34 victory.

Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss lost a home game to Kentucky, a bit of a signature win for Mark Stoops and Big Blue, which hadn't won against a top-six team since 2007 against then-No. 1 LSU.

How damaging will that loss ultimately prove for the Rebels? Consider they've got consecutive road games against improving South Carolina and LSU, a home tilt against struggling Oklahoma and a road game to Arkansas, which like LSU is always an intense rivalry game.

Additionally, the Rebels then host Georgia -- which figures to be a rather ticked off team going down the stretch two months of this season after its loss at Alabama.

Notre Dame survived an "must-not-lose" contest at home against Louisville, Indiana is in rarified air, Deion Sanders has his Colorado Buffaloes 4-1 and Boise State's for real with Ashton Jeanty running towards Heisman Trophy finalist status.

Alabama's Ryan Williams and Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith are transcendent freshman wideouts.
