Limestone College: Limestone College is accepting applications for two positions as Strength and Conditioning Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants for the 2015 Spring semester. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Limestone’s football program as well as assisting with the other 24 Division II intercollegiate athletic programs as assigned by the Assistant AD for Sports Performance and Internship Coordinator; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of various educational assignments during the internship are required. Qualifications include: strong work ethic; punctuality; enthusiasm; desire to further one’s career in the field of Strength & Conditioning. Preferred qualifications include: pursuing Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; NSCA-CPT, CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certifications; CPR certification and coaching experience. This is an unpaid position. Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants will receive professional work experience and receive college credit if applicable. UMass: The University of Massachusetts Football Strength & Conditioning program is accepting applications for the Spring 2015 internship program. This is an unpaid position. The general responsibilities will be to be to assist with the supervision of workouts, set up and breakdown for daily strength and conditioning activities, maintenance of equipment, cleaning, and assistance in various tasks. The preferred intern characteristics include: accountability, enthusiasm, commitment, diligence and a strong work ethic. Preferred qualifications include: desire to be a strength and conditioning coach, pending bachelor’s degree in a health related field, and eligible for SCCC, CSCS and/or USAW certification. Can use this internship for the CSCCA mentorship. The Start date is January 17, 2015.
