Temple: The Temple University Men’s Soccer Staff is looking for a qualified sports science intern for the 2019 spring semester. You will work alongside a Strength and Conditioning professional in assuming the following responsibilities: assisting with the supervision and implementation of Temple University’s Catapult program, assisting with daily organization, data collection, running reports and other duties as assigned by the Strength and Conditioning Coach. This is an unpaid internship. However, candidates will receive Division I Intercollegiate experience, college credit towards graduation if applicable and will receive hands-on experience working with Catapult. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology, data analytics or related field; prior experience with Catapult strongly preferred. This individual will progress towards running live sessions independently, and will be expected to manage equipment and software responsibly. Western Michigan: Western Michigan University Olympic Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for INTERN/VOLUNTEER coach positions for the WINTER/SPRING 2019 semester. No prior experience is necessary. Daily responsibilities will include assisting with the supervision and implementation of performance training programs for Olympic sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training equipment, and completion of the internship education curriculum. Interns much be able to commit a minimum of 40 hours per week. Required qualifications include: strong work ethic and character, high interest in the field, passion to learn, punctuality, group speaking & communication skills, and strong work ethic. Preferred qualifications include: achievement or current pursuit of a bachelor degree in exercise science, physiology, kinesiology, or exercise related field, SCCC or CSCS certification, and previous experience in a strength and conditioning program, coaching internship experience or collegiate athletics experience is preferred. East Tennessee State: East Tennessee State University Football Strength & Conditioning is looking for ONE hard working, enthusiastic volunteer intern who is confident and has a presence to be able to assist with coaching Division 1 Football Student-Athletes for the Spring 2019 Semester. The individual chosen for this position must be able to begin January 11th and work through April 30th. This is an UNPAID position, in which the successful candidate can receive academic credit if applicable, experience working with a Division 1 Strength & Conditioning program. The individual may have the opportunity to work themselves into opening graduate assistant positions within the program with exceptional work ethic. Candidate must be completing or has completed a degree in Exercise Science or a related field, and have a current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification. The successful candidate should have a strong desire to not only pursue Strength and Conditioning as a career, but to also obtain certifications either from the CSCCa or the NSCA. Newberry (D-II - SC): Newberry College (Newberry, South Carolina) Strength and conditioning is seeking applicants for two 8 Month part time Strength and Conditioning Assistant position. Compensation: monthly stipend, plus meal plan, and the possibility of housing. Primary responsibilities include: Assisting with daily Strength and Conditioning operations; Educational projects, program for assigned sports. Maintaining the Strength and Conditioning facility, and consulting with the Athletic Training staff on return to play; and other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning. Must have a strong work ethic and strong desire to learn and excel in their career as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. Start Date will be January 3rd, 2019. Job Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in an associated field of Study. Must have current Certification through the NSCA or CSCCA. Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification is required. A Valid driver’s license and access to a personal mode of transportation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with programming/internship experience with multiple sports. Bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field. Santa Clara: Santa Clara University Sports Performance is currently seeking applicants for 2-4 volunteer UNPAID Sports Performance internship for the Spring Semester 2019. This is a special opportunity, as interns will have the opportunity to earn a PAID Assistant Position on the Sports Performance Staff. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing 1-2 sports under the direction of the full-time staff, set up and break down for daily training, routine maintenance, cleaning of the weight room and completion of the internship curriculum. Candidates will also assist with the training of Men’s and Women’s Basketball as well as other sports assigned by the Assistant AD for Sports Performance and the Director of Sports Performance. Compensation will include Nike Gear as well as learning from a CSCCa approved mentor. Required qualifications: Currently pursuing Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Exercise Science or a related field and a strong desire to become a Collegiate/Professional Strength & Conditioning Coach. Preferred qualifications: Experience as a collegiate athlete and currently pursuing or possessing CSCS, USAW, NSCA, or CSCCa certification(s).
