FootballScoop Coaches of the Year: The full slate of on-field Coaches of the Year have been announced. Monday we will announce winners of Strength Coach of the Year and Directors of Player Personnel and Operations of the Year.
UCF: Long-time college football coach Mark D'Onofrio is slated to join Scott Frost's staff Ross Dellenger has shared. D'Onofrio was on staff at Stanford this past season.
Troy: Special teams analyst Allen Tucker will not return, sources tell FootballScoop.
Michigan State: Oregon State tight ends coach Jon Boyer will be the new quarterbacks coach at Michigan State ESPN reports.
UNLV: Adam Scheier has been announced as the new special teams coordinator. He previously coordinated special teams and coached tight ends at Temple.
Central Missouri (D-II): The University of Central Missouri would like to invite applicants for a Wide Receiver Coach. This is a Full Time Benefited Position. Duties include assisting the Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Recruiting Area/Position, Film Breakdown/Upload (Hudl), Special Teams and Conducting Position Meetings. San Jose State: Sources tell FootballScoop Ken Niumatalolo is promoting Billy Ray Stutzmann to receivers coach. Stutzmann served as an offensive analyst this season, working closely with All-American Nick Nash.
Bucknell (FCS - PA): Bucknell anticipates a defensive line opening. This is a full-time position responsible for coaching the defensive line, recruiting assigned territory and defensive lineman. The position will contribute to game planning, assist with practice preparation, and contribute to the scouting report and video breakdown as needed. The successful candidate must have strong knowledge of defensive line fundamentals and techniques, the desire to work with high academic student-athletes, and proven track record of working well in a collaborative environment. Preference given to those who played defensive line in college, GA’d/QC’d at the FBS level, and have full-time experience. Minorities are encouraged to apply. Initial phone screenings will begin next week with the goal of meeting selected candidates at the AFCA Convention in Charlotte. Washburn (D-II - KS): Head coach Zach Watkins has announced his full-time coaching staff and they consist of Dane Simoneau (OC / QBs), Kaleb Kock (DC / LBs), Travis Britz (DL / run game coordinator), Julian Mendez (OL / run game coordinator), Nelson Vazquez (WRs / pass game coordinator), Jarvis Harrod (DBs / STC), and Ross Sharp (director of player personnel / assistant coach).
Idaho (FCS): Former Stetson (FCS - FL) offensive coordinator Sheldon Cross is expected to become the new tight ends coach.
New York Jets: The team has completed their interview with Mike Vrabel for the head coaching post.
Wyoming: Donnell Kirkwood Jr. has been announced as the program's new running backs coach.
Wake Forest: The program has formally announced the additions of Effrem Reed (RBs) and Freddie Banks (DBs).
Samford (FCS - AL): Sources tell FootballScoop Chris Hatcher plans to promote linebackers coach Brandon Cooper to defensive coordinator. Prior to joining Hatcher's staff before the '22 season, Cooper served as co-defensive coordinator at Charlotte for three seasons.
Central Missouri (D-II): Central Missouri is hiring the top name on the Division II market to coordinate its defense, sources tell FootballScoop.

Austin Peay (FCS - TN): Austin Peay State University is looking for Offense, Defense, and Special Teams volunteer assistants. These are strictly VOLUNTEER positions; there is no compensation or housing. These positions will include but limited to on the field coaching, breakdown of opponent film (XOS), scouting reports, practice organization, day to day operations with recruiting, and all other responsibilities delegated from the Head Coach. This is an entry level position to gain valuable experience with a Division I Program and grow your network within the profession. This is an upaid position and can begin as soon as possible. Boise State: Per multiple reports, co-offensive coordinator / tight ends coach Nate Potter is being elevated to offensive coordinator, replacing Dirk Koetter.
Washington: Former Purdue head coach Ryan Walters has been officially announced as the new defensive coordinator.
Butler CC (JC - KS): Butler Community College, has an opening for a Offensive Line Coach. This is a Full-time position, with benefits. Previous Coaching experience coaching Offensive Line is required. Bachelors degree is also required. Duties include but are not limited to: recruiting an assigned are and position, academic monitoring of assigned student athletes, film breakdown and game planning responsibilities. East Carolina: Former North Carolina corners coach Jason Jones is set to become the new corners coach for Blake Harrell's staff, Pete Thamel shares. He previously spent six seasons as co-defensive coordinator at Ole Miss and also spent three years at Indiana coaching safeties.
West Virginia: Oklahoma assistant GM Chuch Lillie is expected to join Rich Rod's staff as the new Mountaineers GM, per CBS Sports.
Boise State: Veteran offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter, who is 65, is retiring. He led Boise State from 1998-2000 before leaving to become the head coach at Arizona State for six seasons. He spent time as the offensive coordinator with the Jags, Falcons, and Bucs before becoming head coach in Tampa Bay. He eventually returned to help out at Boise as an analyst in 2022, becoming interim offensive coordinator later that season and served as the program's offensive coordinator this past season during their historic run to the College Football Playoff.
Warner (NAIA - FL): Warner University has openings for 5 Graduate Assistants to assist with all things related to the football program. Graduate assistants are as followed: (1) Special Teams, (2) offense and (2) defense. Compensation includes Full Tuition in which you must complete the program of your interest, Housing and a stipend. Ideal candidates must be highly organized, proficient in Hudl, Microsoft Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint and other computer skills. Previous experience coaching or playing is preferred. Bethel College (NAIA - KS): Bethel College is accepting applications for an Entry Level Defensive Line Coaching Position. Compensation includes $15,000, on campus housing, and a meal plan. The ideal candidate would be able to start ASAP and have collegiate playing or coaching experience. Wilkes (D-III - PA): Wilkes University is looking to hire an assistant coach in a non-benefited role on the defensive side of the ball. This position is an entry level position and is a great opportunity to gain experience in recruiting and on field coaching. Looking for the best fit. This person needs to possess strong communication skills, infectious energy, and have a growth mindset. Technical experience with excel, HUDL, and Visio are preferred. This coach will also be given their own recruiting area. This is a stipend position and includes housing and some meals. Looking to fill this position ASAP. New York Jets: The team will interview former Titans head coach Mike Vrabel today, per multiple reports.
Potsdam Royals (GFL): The Potsdam Royals are looking for an Offensive Coordinator. The Royals are the #1 ranked American football team in Europe and are 43-2 since 2022. UMass: Per source, the program has added Jared Osumah (GM for football) and Josh Heinrich (chief of staff for football). Osumah has coaching and scouting experience a number of spots including with the New York Giants and Rutgers and Heinrich has experience in football operations at Fordham (FCS - NY), Maine (FCS), Stony Brook (FCS - NY) and SUNY Cortland (D-III).
Idaho (FCS): Neil Fendall, who spent the past two seasons at small college power Linfield (D-III - OR), has accepted the special teams coordinator / safeties job. He previously served as the defensive coordinator at Southern Oregon (NAIA) and head coach at Caldera HS (OR) and Sisters HS (OR).
BC Lions (CFL): The team has announced the following hires; Mike Benevides (DC), Cory McDiarmid (STC), Kevin Bourgoin (WRs / pass game coordinator), Paul Charbonneau (OL), Ryan Phillips (secondary / pass game coordinator), Randy Melvin (DL), Glen Young (DL), and Derek Oswalt (assistant coach). Head coach Buck Pierce will coordinate the offense and the team plans to hire a running backs coach in the coming weeks.
Rochester CC (JC - MN): Sources share that Terrence Isaac has hired coach Richard Embry as his defensive coordinator. Embry is the former defensive coordinator at Simpson (NAIA - IA).
Georgia vs. Notre Dame: Kirby Smart contends that Notre Dame's brilliant late game sub on punt during critical fourth-and-one was illegal, and that came directly from SEC head of officials.
New York Jets: The team announced they've completed interviews with ESPN's Louis Riddick for their GM job and Ron Rivera for the head coaching job.
Missouri Valley (NAIA): Former All-American LaQuentin Black is returning to his alma mater as head coach. He previously coached the safeties at Northern Iowa, and also has stops at Hutchinson CC (JC - KS), Troy, and Central Methodist.
UCLA: Bailey McElwain, who spent the 2024 season on staff at Washington as a special teams quality control coach, has rejoined the Bruins (where he spent the 2022 season as special teams analyst) as senior special teams analyst.
Gardner Webb (FCS): Gardner Webb University is looking for and Offense, Defense and Special Teams volunteer assistants. These are strictly VOLUNTEER positions; there is NO compensation or housing. These positions will include but limited to on the field coaching, breakdown of opponent film (DVSport), scouting reports, practice organization, day to day operations with recruiting, and all other responsibilities delegated to them from the Head Coach and Coordinators. This an entry level position to gain valuable experience with a Division 1 FCS Program and grow your network of coaches within the profession. Tulane: We can confirm Tulane is expected to hire former Southern Miss head coach Will Hall as passing game coordinator. ESPN has shared the same.

Valparaiso (FCS - IN): Valparaiso University located in Northwest Indiana has an entry-level full-time position open. There is flexibility inside the staff for this position.
