UCLA: The University of California, Los Angles (UCLA) Football Athletic Performance Staff is looking for 2023 SUMMER volunteer interns. This is an UNPAID position, with a potential carry over to the fall semester that is conditional based off performance in summer. Interns will be provided with opportunities to grow, and have hands-on coaching experience in a Division 1 football program. This internship will provide professional development. Volunteer coaches will be responsible but not limited to: supervision of safety in the weight room and on field activities, assisting with daily administrative/maintenance duties, setup/cleanup of the weight room and other assigned duties. Preferred applicants must have or should be working towards pursuing CSCS or SCCC certifications. Applicants must be highly motivated, have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and be detail oriented. Intern applicants must be CPR/AED certified. All employees must fully comply with all NCAA, Pac 12, and University of California, Los Angeles rules, regulations, and policies. Kansas: University of Kansas Football Strength is currently seeking qualified volunteers for an UNPAID internship to contribute to the program for SUMMER 2023. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to assist the full-time staff with training sessions for football in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an unpaid opportunity that offers invaluable knowledge and hands-on experience assisting the full-time coaching staff in all aspects of the strength and conditioning program with the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities. The internship also offers detailed course work on the subjects of “How to Building a Culture” and Leadership Development on top of our Strength and Conditioning Curriculum. Potential candidates must possess a strong work ethic and character, great energy and enthusiasm, as well as the ability to demonstrate effective organization and communication skills. Potential candidates must have a great desire to learn about the strength and conditioning profession as well as pursue a career in the collegiate setting. Previous experience in a strength & conditioning program, coaching internship experience, or collegiate athletics experience is preferred but not required. This internship is expected to begin May 25, 2023 and end July 27, 2023. Grand Blanc HS (MI): Grand Blanc High School Athletic Department, located in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is actively seeking applicants for a full-time certified strength and conditioning coach. This is a 40 hour a week position that would include working with in-season/off-season high school student athletes as well as middle school developmental programs. Your responsibilities will include: implementation of all aspects of strength & performance programs (must be confident and proficient coaching strength training, Olympic lifting, plyometric, linear speed, and multi-directional speed movements), set-up/breakdown/general maintenance of the weight room and field, data collection/organization/entry, and education and implementation of training standards. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, CSCS/NCCA or certification of equivalence, proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint, Google Docs/Sheets/Forms. Previous team/group coaching experience is highly preferred as you will be coaching your own groups.
