San Bernardino Valley: FootballScoop is hearing that San Bernardino Valley College could be very close to naming Kevin Emerson as the new head football coach.  Emerson was the head coach at Citrus College this past season.

UTEP: Former Midwestern State strength coach / wide receivers coach Justin Carrigan has joined the UTEP staff as a grad assistant.


Kentucky Christian University: (NAIA, Mid-South Conference) Assistant Football Coach - Running Backs/Intern Position. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree; and, playing or coaching at the college level is preferred. Individual must possess strong communication skills, adequate computer skill, and the ability to function within a Christian environment.  Position will include coaching, film breakdowns, scouting reports, editing, recruiting and other duties as assigned by the Offensive Coordinator and Head Football Coach.  This is an entry level, ten month position, $5000 salary, room and board as compensation.  Please forward cover letter, resume and professional references to Zack Moore, Head Coach by email at .  Please, no phone calls.

UL-Lafayette: Our sources are telling us that ULL has hired Brian Wallace as the defensive GA.  Wallace previously served as the linebackers coach at Louisiana College.

Portland State: We hear offensive line coach Jim Craft and wide receivers coach Kevin Strasser are being considered for the offensive coordinator position.  The position came available three weeks ago when veteran coach Mouse Davis announced his retirement.    A replacement could be named later this week.

IUP: Former Midwestern State (TX) grad assistant Tye Desiderio has joined the Indiana University (PA) staff as a grad assistant.

Chowan University: (D2, CIAA) Assistant Football Coach - Defense/Video Coordinator. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree; and, playing or coaching defensive line at the college level is required. Playing or coaching experience in an even front defense desired.  Extensive computer skills, knowledge of video editing equipment (APEX editing system) and the ability to break down game film required.  Position will include coaching, practice video and film exchange responsibilities as well as responsibilities with reference to film breakdowns, scouting reports, editing, recruiting and other duties as assigned.  This is an entry level, full-time, ten month position with restricted salary & room as compensation.  Please forward cover letter, resume and professional references to Chowan University, Attention: Tim Place, Football Offices, 1 University Drive, Murfreesboro, NC 27855; or, to .  No phone calls.

Lock Haven University: A division II school in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Football Coach.  Candidates must be highly motivated and willing to put in the hours that the job demands.  This position will be a part-time, entry level position. Previous College playing and/or coaching experience is highly recommended. Position will include coaching a position assigned by the head coach, recruiting and assisting with Academics and all other duties assigned by Head Coach.  DSV editing experience is preferred.  Resume reviews will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Wagner College: Former Yale University linebacker Bobby Abare has joined the Wagner staff as the new linebackers coach.


Briar Cliff University: a NAIA school located in Sioux City, IA, has a full-time offensive assistant position available.  This position will be coupled with a teaching load and/or work in an area of academic support.  Teaching positions are available in a variety of departments with the exception of physical education.  A master's degree is required.  Health insurance and full benefits are included. Montana State: Former Wyoming running backs coach Bryan Applewhite has been hired at Montana State in the same capacity.  Applewhite coached the running backs at Wyoming under previous head coach Joe Glenn.
