Longtime Pacific Lutheran head coach Frosty Westering died Friday at age 85. He won four national titles, claimed four runner-up finishes and won 78 percent of his games in 32 seasons at PLU. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Read a tribute to his brilliant, unorthodox career here.

The FootballScoop Spring Tour rolls on. We had some great visits at Northwestern and Notre Dame this week. Today we're headed to Michigan for their spring game and a visit with their staff. For updates follow Scott (@FootballScoop), Doug (@CoachSamz) and Mike from Overtime Software (@OT_Software).

Misericordia University (D-III - PA): Part-Time Defensive Assistant Football Coach - Misericordia University, located in Dallas, PA invites applicants for part-time defensive assistant coaching position. This part-time position will assist the head coach in all facets of the sports program including, but not limited to, the development and implementation of individual fundamental skills. Requirements: Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; strong managerial, administrative, interpersonal skills; and computer proficiency. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Prior playing or coaching experience at the college/university or professional level is preferred. Flexibility is required for scheduled practices and competition during the season. There are NO meals or housing included, so Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area applicants are preferred.

Texas: Derek Ochoa has been hired as director of creative services for football. Ochoa previously served in a similar capacity on the LSU staff, and we highlighted his work in this piece.
College of Idaho (NAIA): Tim Keane has been named the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at College of Idaho. Keane previously coached the offensive line at UC Davis under current College of Idaho head coach Mike Moroski.
Wisconsin - Oshkosh (D-III): UW-Oshkosh is seeking games for September 6th, September 20th, and September 27th for the 2014 season. Prefer to play D3 opponent, but open to D2 and NAIA teams. Frostburg State (D-III - MD): Frostburg State University is seeking a Graduate Assistant Coaches for Football - Defensive Secondary or Defensive Line. This position will also be responsible for providing athletic coaching, supervision, recruiting, academic monitoring, and other duties related to the sport of football as assigned by the head coach. The primary coaching role of this position is to coach, develop, evaluate and monitor the defensive backs or the defensive lineman. Successful candidates must possess the ability to learn and utilize DV Sport Editing Software. Applicants must possess previous playing experience. Bachelor’s degree required and 3.0 GPA to be admissible to desired graduate program if offered position. This position is granted 12 credit hours tuition waiver per term and 30 credit hours per 12 month cycle. A $2500.00 stipend is paid per semester. St. Scholastica (D-III - MN): Sources tell us that Fort Hays State (D-II - KS) graduate assistant Ryan Allgood, who coached the tight ends and fullbacks, will be the new offensive line coach at St. Scholastica.
UCLA: Special teams coordinator Jeff Ulbrich has added the title of assistant head coach. Ulbrich was a 2012 finalist for our Special Teams Coordinator of the Year.

Boston College: Sources tell us Shane Morin has left the St. Louis Rams to assume the role of assistant operations director at Boston College.
Florida: According to Scott Carter of GatorZone.com, defensive tackles coach Bryant Young has decided to resign in order to spend more time with his family. Update> Will Muschamp has confirmed the news.
James Madison: Sources tell us that Valdosta State co-defensive coordinator / defensive line coach Earl Chambers has joined the James Madison staff and will coach the tight ends.
Western New Mexico (D-II): Western New Mexico University still has an open date on September 14th 2013. We need a home game , but might consider traveling in the right situation. Please contact Head Coach Adam Clark at aclark@wnmu.edu.
