Oakland Raiders: ESPN's Chris Mortensen has confirmed that Lane Kiffen has been dismissed as head coach.
Wyoming: Athletic Director Tom Burman states, "Joe is our head coach, and we believe in him and his staff. At the end of the year, we will assess the program and the full body of work. Until then, we will just let them play."
Tuesday September 30, 2008 Ole Miss (Special Teams Staff): Ole Miss special teams coordinator, James Shibest, had a little payback for Urban Meyer and the Gators. In the 2006 SEC Championship game, the Gators pulled an important fake punt vs. Akransas while Shibest served as the special teams coordinator. This week, the Rebels and Shibest handed the Gators a dose of their own medicine with a very similar fake punt conversion. Additionally, in the Rebels 31-30 win in The Swamp, the Ole Miss coverage units held in check Florida's dangerous return game throughout the game. But the biggest play in the game came when the Rebels blocked a Florida PAT late in the 4th quarter to leave the score 31-30 Rebels. Furthermore, the Rebels had an important 40 yards kickoff return and also pressured Florida into a crucial 11 yard shank punt. The Ole Miss special team units were certainly a difference in the 31-30 upset win in Gainesville.

The Beavers were able to establish the run and finished 7/16 (44%) with 3rd down conversions.

The Cowboys host Texas A&M this week before traveling to Missouri in two weeks.

Yale could only muster 4 of 16 3rd down conversions and finished with only 209 total yards.
Clayton Carlin (Assistant Head Coach / DC / Safeties) Pete DeStefano (Assoc. DC / Defensive Line) Rashaan Jordan (Linebackers) Ross Pennypacker (Defensive Backs) Texas (Defensive Staff): 9 months ago, Arkansas came close to hiring Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp as the Razorbacks head coach. Muschamp didn't forget the last minute (literally) spurning as the Texas defense totally dominated Bobby Petrino's offense. The Longhorns limited the Razorbacks to 191 total yards that included only 11 net rushing yards. The Longhorns forced 2 turnovers and sacked Arkansas 7 times in the 52-10 rout in Austin.
