Oregon: We hear, a few weeks back, head coach Chip Kelly offered the offensive coordinator job to former Tampa Bay Bucs head coach Jon Gruden.  Gruden declined the offer.

Davidson College: is currently seeking applications for an Assistant Football Coach to assist the Head Coach in recruiting, coaching, staff supervision, program maintenance, and fundraising. Assist on field and in classroom instruction, coaching techniques and strategies; evaluate individual performances and provide leadership and instruction in areas of deficiencies as required. Will serve as Wide Receivers Coach and participate in comprehensive recruiting activities. Will also participate in the collection and analysis of tactical and statistical data of opponent teams; assist in designing game plans, game analysis, computer breakdowns, scouting reports and playbook preparation; assist in implementing practice plan and preparation. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's Degree; 1 to 3 years offensive coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred; experience in organized collegiate sports. Out-of-town travel required. This position is full time hours for 10 months/year. Salaried position $19,717 + benefits. Colgate: Pat Foley had joined the staff as linebackers coach.  Foley previously served as the defensive coordinator at the United State Merchant Marine Academy.

Highland Community College: We hear the defensive coordinator job has been filled.

Northern Arizona: Our sources tell us former Texas A&M and NFL running running back Chris Taylor has joined the staff as the offensive GA.

North Dakota State College of Science: We hear Freddie Weinke Jr. is set to join the staff as linebackers coach.  This is Weinke's first coaching job, but he previously played in the AFL and CFL.

Hartwick College: College an NCAA Division III institution and member of the Empire 8 seeks candidates for the position of Assistant Football Coach (defensive) for the 2009-10 academic year (nine-month intern appointment).  Responsibilities include coaching practices and competitions, recruiting prospective student-athletes, and other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach and/or Director of Athletics in accordance with applicable rules and regulations of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, College, Empire 8, NCAA and other related associations.  The position will also include a secondary responsibility and administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Competitive stipend of $16,300 and an offer of a fringe benefit package. Qualifications:  Candidates should have a bachelor's degree with playing and/or coaching experience at the college level. LA Pierce College: seeking a Linebackers Coach. This is a walk-on, non-teaching position. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years experience at the college or high school level. Coaching and/or playing experience at Linebacker preferred. BA/BS preferred, but not required. Job Description: Practice planning, scouting, video, analysis, skill and team instruction working directly with linebackers, all phases of recruiting and any additional responsibilities assigned by the head coach. Urbana University: Assistant Football Coach. Towson: Former Towson player Konstantinos Kosmakos has joined the coaching staff as a defensive assistant. 

Tulsa: Clarence James has been hired to coach the outside receivers and serve as director of recruiting.

Harper College: As we first reported early last week, Harper College has now officially announced the hiring of Eric Waldstein as the new head football coach.    Waldstein served as an offensive assistant / special teams coordinator at Cornell College the last three seasons.

McMurry: Our sources tell us McMurry is also interested in Dean Campbell, who currently serves as the high school relations director at Arkansas.  Last week, we reported the McMurry interviewed Hal Mumme.  We hear a decision could be made by early next week.

San Francisco (UFL Team): We hear former Miami and Ole Miss offensive line coach Art Kehoe could be joining the San Francisco organization under Denny Green.

Central Florida: Sean Beckton has joined the staff as defensive backs coach.  Beckton is a former UCF player and once coached at UCF under former head coach Mike Kruczek.  The position came available when defensive backs coach Gary Blackney resigned for personal reasons.

Dayton: Our sources tell us that former Carson-Newman defensive graduate assistant Trevor Zeiders has joined the Dayton staff as defensive line coach.

LA Valley Junior College: We hear former Occidental College offensive coordinator Jim Fenwick has been hired as the new head football coach.

Western Carolina: Former Brevard College assistant Arketa Banks is the new running backs coach.  Also, former Tennessee State assistant Justin Roberts has just been hired as the new defensive line coach.
