Jackson State: There is a report that offensive coordinator James Woody will not return to the JSU staff. 

Livingstone College: Current Alcorn State athletic director, Darren Hamilton, will take over the AD position at Livingstone late this summer.

Missouri State: Louisville assistant athletic director Kyle Moats has accepted the AD position at Missouri State.

Boston College: We hear Boston College has an assistant recruiting coordinator job open.

Brockport: We hear 3 interviews will take place for the open position at Brockport.  No more resumes are being taken.

Allegheny College: a rigorous selective liberal arts college and NCAA Division 3 member of the North Coast Athletic Conference invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach (defensive line).  This is a ten-month, intern position with a competitive salary.  Bachelor's degree required; Masters Degree preferred. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist the head coach with the organization and direction of the defensive line. Specific responsibilities include identification and on the road recruitment of athletically and academically qualified student-athletes; regular practice sessions and game preparation; and assisting with the management of equipment, team travel, program budgets, public/alumni relations and promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. The successful candidate must possess and will demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, good work ethic and self-motivation, the ability and willingness to be a positive role model, department member and representative of the College. Two years of coaching experience preferred.  Additional duty such as event management, intramural or club sport supervision will be assigned by Athletic Director. Prairie View A&M: Head coach Henry Frazier has been rewarded with a reworked contract.  The Panthers finished 9-1 last season under Coach Frazier.

Ursinus College: Our sources have just told us that wide receivers coach Kevin Czapor will be leaving to accept an assistant position at Spring-Ford Area high school.

Weber State: Our sources tell us former Central Florida offensive line coach Tom Freeman has accepted the offensive coordinator job under Ron McBride at Weber State.  We also hear McBride has given the assistant head coach title to Matt Hammer.  Hammer served as the interim offensive coordinator during spring football and will remain heavily involved in the offensive planning.

Bacone College: NAIA school in Muskogee, OK is seeking a student assistant football coach. Will be responsible for own position group (D-Line), recruiting, and helping with off-season strength & conditioning. Ideal candidate will be a returning or former military veteran looking to complete undergrad degree while getting a great start and experience in the collegiate football coaching profession. Colby College: This position begins August 11, 2009 and goes to April 30, 2009.  This is a part--time, academic year position.   Responsibilities within the football staff include:  on-field coaching in practices and contests, identifying and recruiting prospective student-athletes, film breakdown and analysis, practice planning, mentoring and supporting students, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Position coach for the defense is preferred with some flexibility. A Bachelor's Degree is required, previous college football coaching experience is preferable and the ability to work as a member of a diverse community is necessary. 8 programs head into the 2009 season with co-offensive coordinators.  22 programs list a "Run Game Coordinator".  18 of the 22 "Run Game Coordinators" are offensive line coaches.  Only 12 programs list a "Passing Game Coordinator".

Iowa: We hear that Paul Federici has moved into the role of director of football operations.  Federici has served as the director of athletic training with the Iowa program since 2004.  As we reported on Monday, DFO Bill Dervrich has resigned.

Fitchburg State College: located in Fitchburg, MA has two part time openings on both offense and defense.  Fitchburg State College is an NCAA Division III institution that competes in the NEFC Conference and located 45 minutes outside of Boston. The position will include on field coaching, recruiting and other additional duties assigned by the head coach.  Previous experience coaching or playing at the collegiate level is preferred.  Please send resumes and references to or fax them to 978-665-3710.  No phone calls.

Massillon HS (Ohio): Former University of Arkansas quarterbacks coach Alex Wood has accepted the offensive coordinator job at Massillon HS in Ohio.  Wood is a veteran NFL and college coach, who once served as the head coach at James Madison.  Wood last coached the quarterbacks under Houston Nutt at Arkansas in 2007.

Mahoning Valley Thunder: Former Colorado Crush offensive coordinator Chris MacKeown has accepted the head coaching position with the Mahoning Valley Thunder.  Interim head coach Brennen Booth will return to his former position as defensive coordinator.
