Florida Atlantic University: a NCAA Division 1 institution and member of the Sun Belt Conference invites those interested in pursuing a career in Strength and Conditioning to apply for a fall semester internship with the Strength and Conditioning Department. Potential interns will acquire valuable experience and knowledge while being a positive asset to FAU and its student-athletes.  Upon successful completion of this internship, one should posses and demonstrate the required abilities to advance in the field of Strength and Conditioning. Duties: Assist Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of strength training, conditioning and speed programs designed for 17 varsity teams, weight room upkeep, equipment maintenance and other duties assigned by the full time staff members. There will be an opportunity to have responsibility over 1 or more sports teams TBD by your prior experience, knowledge and skill level. Qualifications: Potential interns must be self motivated and possess a strong interest in becoming a Strength and Conditioning Coach.  Candidates should have prior weight room experience via previous coaching experience and/or a background as a competitive athlete. In addition, candidates should be pursuing or just completed a Bachelors or Masters degree in exercise science or a related field a well as working towards a certification with the CSCCa or NSCA. Compensation: Class credit toward graduation requirements, valuable experience and knowledge and earned recommendation to pursue the next step in your career. Hampton: There is a report that former FIU assistant, Bernard Clark, has landed the defensive coordinator job at Hampton University.

Arizona Cardinals: Current Spring Westfield HS (Houston, TX) assistant coach, Desmar Black, will take part in the NFL Minority Fellowship with the Cardinals.  Also, former Pittsburgh Steelers' scouting department intern, Luke Palko, has joined the Cardinals' staff as a college scout. 

Jacksonville Jaguars: Jeff Gooch is the new Southeast BLESTO scout.  Brian Simmons is the new northeast regional scout.  Jason Desjardins has been promoted to Midwest regional scout.  Former Southwest scout Chris Driggers is the Southwest pro scout.  Former Northeast regional scout Chris Prescott is the new Southwest regional scout.

Central Lakes College: a member of the NJCAA and MCAC has an opening for an assistant football coach.  CLC is located in the heart of the Lakes Area in Brainerd, Minnesota, about two hours north of Minneapolis-St. Paul.  This position will require previous college coaching/playing experience.  Responsibilities will include coaching own position, working closely with offensive/defensive coordinator, knowledge of special teams play, recruitment of student-athletes, and other duties assigned by the head coach.  This is a fall semester assignment only and there are no teaching opportunities.  A stipend will be provided based on experience.  Please email resume to [email protected].

Central Michigan: We are hearing that Central Michigan head coach Butch Jones has hired Ryan Oshnock as a new graduate assistant coach.  Oshnock previously served on the staff at Byrnes High School in South Carolina.

IUP: Villanova assistant DFO, Ryan Eden, has joined the Indiana University - Pennsylvania staff as the wide receivers coach.

University of St. Francis (Illinois): We hear Mike Ridings has joined the staff at St. Francis to coach the wide receivers.  Ridings previously served as a student intern with the Indiana Hoosiers' coaching staff.

Auburn: We hear former Auburn defensive line coach, Don Dunn, has accepted the defensive line job at Auburn High School.  Dunn will also serve as a teacher.

Central Oklahoma: We are hearing former Gardner-Webb offensive line coach, Chase Harp, has accepted the offensive line job at Central Oklahoma. Harp previously served as an offensive

Georgia State: Our sources tell us that Roswell HS (GA) defensive coordinator, Tim Ewing, is a strong possibility to join the staff at Georgia State.

Upper Iowa: Former Notre Dame offensive intern, Kevin Loney, has accepted the defensive line job at Upper Iowa.

Golden West Community College: We have just been informed that San Diego State offensive GA, Charlie Stansbury, has accepted the offensive coordinator job at Golden West Community College.  It will be interesting to see how much of Al Borges' philosophy/scheme he will incorporate.
