Akron: We hear the staff at Arkron is safe.
South Carolina: FootballScoop has learned that assistant coach John Hunt will not return. Hunt recently finished his 4th season coaching the offensive line at South Carolina. We hear Spurrier will contact Vanderbilt offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell.
Wyoming: Missouri offensive coordinator Dave Christensen will be named head football coach.

Bowling Green: Bowling Green has an interest in Purdue assistant Brock Spack.
Eastern Michigan: Sources tell FootballScoop that Eastern Michigan will interview Scott Loeffler (Detroit Lions - QB's), Erik Campbell (Iowa - WR/TE's), and Corwin Brown (Notre Dame - DC). We hear that Michigan State assistant Don Treadwell has already interviewed.
Miami (OH): We hear that Mitch Browning is interested in the job. Browning was a long time assistant at Minnesota before joining Greg Robinson's staff at Syracuse.
North Carolina A&T: Sources tell FootballScoop that North Carolina A&T is very interested in hiring Southern Miss assistant Frank Wilson as the new head football coach.
Syracuse: Illinois assistant Mike Locksely has moved to the top of the Syracuse list.
Tennessee: ESPN is reporting that Monte Kiffin will join his son at Tennessee.
UNLV: It appears Mike Sanford will return as head coach in 2009.
Burbank High School (CA): Burbank, CA has openings for Defensive Line and Linebackers. Will make room elsewhere for the right candidate. We are looking for Teacher-Coaches but will take the right coach no matter what. We just finished the 2nd year of the program by going to the playoffs for the 4th time in two decades and winning a playoff game for the 1st time in 81 years. Mississippi State: We hear Mississippi State has interest in LA Tech head coach Derek Dooley.
New Mexico: Sources tell us that New Mexico is interested in talking with Oklahoma State special teams coordinator Joe DeForest.
Tennessee: We hear South Carolina assistant David Reaves will join his brother-in-law Lane Kiffin in Knoxville. Sources also tell us that Kiffin has talked with LA Tech interim offensive line coach Art Kehoe. Kehoe is the former offensive line coach at Miami and Ole Miss.
Toledo: It appears that Toledo is down to Mark Stoops (Arizona DC), Matt Eberflus (Missouri DC), and Dan McCarney (Florida Defensive Line / Assistant HC).
Washington: Fresno State head coach Pat Hill interviewed for the UW job on Saturday.
Wyoming: Missouri offensive coordinator Dave Christensen flew to Laramie, Wyoming immediately after the Missouri vs. Kansas game. Christensen is the leading candidate to replace Joe Glenn as the head football coach at Wyoming.

The coaching turnover this season is officially unprecedented.
Bowling Green: Gregg Brandon has been dismissed as head football coach after 6 seasons at Bowling Green. The Falcons finished 6-6 this season. Brandon was 44-30 in his six seasons.
Miami (OH): Head coach Shane Montgomery has resigned. Miami finished 2-10 this season.
Mississippi State: Head coach Sylvester Croom has just resigned.

Clemson: We hear that Clemson athletic director Terry Don Phillips is very interested in TCU head coach Gary Patterson.
Indiana: Incoming athletic director Fred Glass has announced that Bill Lynch will return as head coach.
Tennessee: Reports are that Tennessee will name Lane Kiffin head football coach on Monday. Despite many rumors, FootballScoop has learned at this point that Ed Orgeron does not plan to join Kiffin's staff. Orgeron is in his first year as the defensive line coach with the New Orleans Saints. Kiffin's first move in assembling a staff is a likely offer to Southern Miss assistant Frank Wilson.
