Arkansas: Athletics director Jeff Long has received a $100,000 raise to $1.1 million after taking his name out of the running for the Texas AD job, according to Robbie Neiswanger of ArkansasNews.com.
Florida Atlantic: Athletics director Pat Chun interviewed Ohio State defensive coordinator Luke Fickell for the Owls' vacant head coaching position in Columbus on Tuesday, according to South Florida Sun-Sentinel beat writer Dieter Kurtenbach. Kurtenbach also reports that Fickell is Chun's top target for the job.
Tulane: Curtis Johnson has announced that linebackers coach / special teams coordinator Barry Lamb has taken a leave of absence for medical reasons. We expect assistant AD for football operations/recruiting Doug Lichtenberger to go back on the field as a coach. We would not expect Tulane to bring anyone new in at this time. Update: Lichtenberger will coach the special teams and secondary coach Jason Rollins will add on linebackers duty, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Texas: Arizona State athletics director Steve Patterson has been hired as the AD at Texas. He'll make $1.4 million per year. Here's what you need to know.
Houston Texans: Multiple outlets in Houston are reporting that Gary Kubiak is set to be released from the hospital today, and he is expected to miss Sunday's game against Arizona and return to practice next week. Kubiak apparently suffered a mini stroke on the sidelines Sunday.
Loras (D-III - IA): Loras College, located in Dubuque, IA, is seeking a nonconference opponent for the 2014 & 2015 season on either September 13, 2014 (Week 2) or September 27, 2014 (Week 4). Livingstone College (D-II - NC): Offensive coordinator and interim head coach Daryl Williams has been named Livingstone's full-time head coach.
Denver Broncos: The organization announced that John Fox has had successful heart surgery and will be out at least a number of weeks.
TCU: Gary Patterson said Monday he would not make any offensive staff changes during the season.
Pac-12: The conference has extended commissioner Larry Scott's contract through 2017-18, and also designated him as the executive chairman of Pac-12 Enterprises. Scott has been with the Pac-12 since 2009.
Florida: Will Muschamp has announced that director of player personnel Jon Haskins has resigned.
Temple: Kevin G. Clark has been appointed vice president and director of athletics.
Edmonton Eskimos (CFL): Head coach Kavis Reed has been let go. The Eskimos were 4-14 this season.
Denver Broncos: Jack Del Rio has been named interim head coach. Del Rio will continue to serve as defensive coordinator as well.
Todd & Bo Graham came "this close" to going down in a private plane Friday.
Northern Colorado: Houston deputy athletic director Darren Dunn is expected to be named athletic director at Northern Colorado later today, according to a report from the UNC Mirror.

Houston Texans: As his team was leaving the field tonight at halftime, Gary Kubiak went down in pain. He has been taken to a local hospital for tests. Please keep him in your prayers.
Texas: Arkansas AD Jeff Long says tonight that he isn't involved with the Texas search. This is Oliver Luck's job folks.
FAU: Sources tell us FAU AD Pat Chun is already speaking with potential candidates for the head coaching position. He is doing his diligence and will speak with a number of guys we're told; but the focus we're told his where it should be on guys who can recruit locally and re-energize the program. Sources tell us Eddie Gran, Danny Barrett at UCF and Brian Jenkins at Bethune-Cookman are all possibilities. We'll keep you updated.
Texas: Oliver Luck, Arizona State AD Steve Patterson and Arkansas AD Jeff Long are the finalists for the Texas AD position according to Chuck Carlton of the Dallas Morning News. At FootballScoop we continue to believe that Oliver Luck is the guy.
USC: Lovie Smith has interviewed for the Trojans' vacant head coaching position according to CBS' Jason LaCanfora. FootballScoop does not expect Lovie to come back to college. LaCanfora adds that Jon Gruden has no interest in the job and that Steve Sarkisian was considered a strong candidate but that might have waned given UW's three consecutive Pac-12 losses. Update> Lovie's son (and agent) Matt has come out publicly (again) refuting the report from CBS sports.
John Fox: Fox will indeed undergo heart surgery and is expected to miss several weeks. The Broncos have not named an interim head coach, but offensive coordinator Adam Gase and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio are expected to have increased roles with the team, according to Adam Schefter.

Missouri Southern State offensive line coach Derek Moore, 37, passed away late Friday night after a senseless shooting outside a local movie theatre. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
John Fox: The Denver Broncos' head coach was taken to a Charlotte, N.C., hospital today to undergo testing, though the team insists he did not have a heart attack. Adam Schefter is reporting that if Fox requires heart surgery, he could be out for up to two months. Here's hoping surgery isn't needed and Fox is out of the hospital as soon as possible.
Loras College (D-III - IA): Head coach Paul Mierkiewicz has resigned. With three games remaining in their regular season, offensive line coach Steve Helminiak will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season. AD Bob Quinn says the search for the next head coach will begin following this season.

Minnesota: Defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys, offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover and strength and conditioning coach Eric Klein each received one-year contract extensions through 2015 at the start of this season, Minneapolis Star-Tribune writer Joe Christensen reported today. Working on a $346,800 base salary, Claeys receives an extra $13,000 for each week he works as acting head coach.
Wyoming: The school has announced that longtime college defensive coordinator Bill Young has joined the staff as a defensive quality control coach. Young will be paid $12,000 in addition to housing and a courtesy car.
