Longtime Delaware assistant and University of Delaware Athletics Hall of Famer Irv "Coach Whiz" Wisiniewski passed away Wednesday at age 89. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. 

Miami Dolphins: The club announced Saturday that John Benton has been promoted to offensive line coach. He came aboard in January as assistant offensive line coach. 

UC Davis (FCS): The Aggies have hired three assistants to replace the trio that followed Jeff Tedford to Tampa Bay. Paul Creighton will leave the Colorado State-Pueblo staff to coach tight ends. Former Utah offensive line coach Dan Finn will take the same position and Fresno Hoover High School wide receivers coach (and former Aggie wide receiver) Anthony Soto is the new offensive quality control coach.  

Arizona State: Per source, Washington State GA Ray Brown is leaving to be a GA at Arizona State. 

Bethany College (D-III - WV): Bethany College is seeking qualified applicants for one internship level assistant football coach. Positions will report to the Head Football Coach and duties will include coaching, recruiting, and fundraising. Additional duties may be assigned by the Head Coach or the Director of Athletics. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license, and playing experience at the collegiate level. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience coaching at the collegiate or high school level. Experience coaching or playing defensive back is preferred. Knowledge of and adherence to Bethany, NCAA Division III, and Presidents’ Athletic Conference rules and regulations are also required. The start date for this position is immediate. Employment will continue through the end of the academic year with the possibility of rehire for the following year. Compensation includes stipend, room, board and a graduate school tuition waiver into Bethany’s Master of Arts in Teaching program. Fresno State: Sources tell us Marcus Woodson, formerly of Charleston Southern, is the new defensive backs coach at Fresno State. 

Delaware State (FCS): Former North Carolina Central offensive line coach Rod Milstead has accepted an offer to coach the offensive line at Delaware State. Milstead is a Delaware State graduate and played eight seasons in the NFL. 

MidAmerica Nazarena (NAIA - KS): Bruce Pielstick has accepted an offer to be the offensive coordinator at MidAmerica Nazarene. He had previously been the offensive coordinator at Sac State. 

Bryant (FCS - RI): Columbia offensive line coach Ed Argast has joined the Bryant staff, but Ron Tyner remains the offensive line coach. 

Oregon: Oregon released updated information on its staff salaries on Friday. They are - head coach Mark Helfrich, $1.8 million; defensive line coach Ron Aiken, $500,000; defensive coordinator Don Pellum, $500,000; offensive line coach Steve Greatwood, $379,250; offensive coordinator Scott Frost, $367,584; special teams/tight ends coach Tom Osborne, $367,584; wide receivers coach Matt Lubick, $325,000; defensive backs coach John Neal, $325,0000; running backs coach Gary Campbell, $300,000 and inside linebackers coach Erik Chinander, $275,000.

Edmonton Eskimos (CFL): Jonathan Himebauch was announced as the offensive line coach today. 

Widener (D-III - PA): Former Winnipeg Blue Bombers head coach Mike Kelly will be the new head coach at Widener. Kelly replaces Bobby Acosta, who accepted the tight ends job at Syracuse earlier this month. 

Florida State: Jimbo Fisher officially announced the hiring of Bill Miller as linebackers coach. 

Louisville: Louisville released the details of Bobby Petrino's contract on Friday. It's a six-year deal worth $3 million a year with a $10 million buyout should he take another job before 2017. Read more here.

Western Oregon (D-II): Western Oregon is seeking applicants for an assistant football coach who will coach the defensive line. The position is 12 months with pay being between $16,000-$20,000 based on experience. Starting date preferred is April 1st. Newport News Apprentice (D-III - VA): Sources tell us that Paul White is the new head coach. White coached the linebackers last season and is the longtime head coach at Matthews HS (VA).

Bowling Green: Vincent Marshall has been added to the staff as an offensive grad assistant, per sources. Marshall played receiver at Houston and played in the CFL for a few years prior to getting into coaching.

Edmonton Eskimos: Per source, Northeast HS (FL) head coach Kez McCorvey has joined the Eskimos staff. McCorvey previously coached the receivers for the Toronto Argonauts in 2012.

Notre Dame: Brian Kelly stated today that Kerry Cooks, who coached the corners last season, will now coach the corners and safeties. Also, DC Brian VanGorder will coach the inside linebackers and Bob Elliott, who coached the safeties last year, will now coach the outside linebackers.

Minnesota: The football office and coach Claeys are no longer accepting applications for the linebackers job. All future applicants need to apply online via this link. Thank you all for your interest in Gopher football.

Rutgers: Former quarterbacks coach Rob Spence has accepted the head coaching job at Chattanooga Christian HS (TN). Spence also served as offensive coordinator at Syracuse, Clemson, and Bethune Cookman dating back to 2005.

Alabama: Per source, Valdosta State defensive backs coach Doug Belk has accepted a grad assistant job at Alabama working with the secondary

Albany (FCS - NY): Former tight ends coach Kevin Ross has accepted the head coaching job at John S. Burke Catholic HS (NY). Kevin, the son of Bobby Ross, formerly served as offensive coordinator at Army.

Rose Hulman (D-III - IN): Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is seeking applicants for a graduate assistant linebackers coach. The position includes a $10,000 stipend, graduate classes at Indiana State University and meals during the academic year. Bucknell: Sources tell us that quarterbacks coach Mike O'Connor is being promoted to offensive coordinator and RD Montgomery is being promoted to full time status coaching the tight ends and fullbacks.

Wyoming: The University of Wyoming is looking to fill a graduate assistant quality control position. It will consist of breaking down offensive film, and splitting time with recruiting office. College level coaching experience is preferred. Must have experience with XOS Thunder, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office. Buffalo: Sources tell us that Eric Lewis has been hired to coach the defensive backs. Lewis most recently served as the defensive coordinator at Weber State.

LSU: The school has now formally announced the hiring of Bradley Dale Peveto as special teams coordinator/defensive assistant. 

Indiana University Pennsylvania (D-II): Head coach Curt Cignetti has announced the hiring of Johnny Franco to coach the defensive backs. Franco is a former an All-American at IUP. 

Eastern Michigan: Per source, Indiana associate director of player personnel Herb Haygood is joining the staff as receivers coach.

Whittier (D-III - CA): Whittier has announced the additions of Cameron Deen (offensive grad assistant) and Nathan Poole Jr. (defensive grad assistant).

Harvard: Head coach Tim Murphy is at home recovering from a "medical issue" he suffered earlier this month, according to a report from Boston.com. Coach Murphy is expected to return by the time that spring practice starts at the end of March. Offensive coordinator Joel Lamb and defensive coordinator Scott Larkee will manage the team until Murphy returns.

Rice: Frank Okam, who played at Texas and was drafted by the Houston Texans, has joined the staff as a defensive grad assistant, according to Joseph Duarte.

Lafayette College (FCS - PA): New Hampshire linebackers coach Art Link has been named defensive coordinator. Link has coached the linebackers at UNH the past two seasons, and was the defensive coordinator at Campbell University prior to that.

Vanderbilt: Sources confirm to us that Utah State defensive line coach Frank Maile will be the new defensive line coach at Vanderbilt. 

Minot State (D-II - ND): Chris Brunkhorst has been added as defensive line coach/strength and conditioning coach.

Cornell (FCS - NY): Cornell has announced Roy Istvan as its offensive coordinator. He served in the same capacity at Rhode Island for the past three seasons. 

Augustana (D-II - SD): Sources tell us that defensive coordinator Jake Dickert is leaving to become the defensive coordinator at Minnesota State-Mankato (D-II) and linebackers coach / special teams coordinator Brian Bergstrom is being promoted to defensive coordinator.

Nassau Community College (NY): Nassau Community College is seeking applicants for a defensive coordinator position. Nicholls State (FCS - LA): Head coach Charlie Stubbs has announced several role changes to his staff. Steve Adams has been promoted to defensive coordinator, associate head coach Chuck Hepola will serve as special teams coordinator, receivers coach Justin Anderson has been promoted to assistant head coach and will also coach the tight ends. Also, Brandon Nowlin has been promoted to linebackers coach and corners coach Freddie Banks has added the title of video coordinator.

Duquesne (FCS - PA): Jason Makrinos has been announced as co-defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach.

Averett (D-III - VA): Averett has promoted defensive backs coach Jay Kirland to defensive coordinator, and has announced the hiring of Shannon Johnson as offensive coordinator. Johnson spent the past five years at Emory and Henry as an assistant coach, most recently coaching the quarterbacks and serving as pass game coordinator.

Puget Sound (D-III - WA): Tight ends coach Ricky Daley has accepted the head coaching job at Mount Tahoma HS (WA), according to sources.

Savannah State: Former head coach Steve Davenport has been named head coach at Woodland HS (GA).

Louisiana Monroe: Per source, former Army defensive line coach John Mumford will be the new defensive line coach at ULM.

University of San Diego: Per source, offensive assistant Tyler Sutton is being promoted to running backs coach. 

Waldorf (NAIA - IA): Sources tell us that Waldorf has hired former Iowa Wesleyan offensive line / co-recruiting coordinator Erik Personius as an offensive grad assistant with offensive line coaching duties.

Oklahoma State: Per source, Mount Ida (D-III - MA) offensive line coach Mike Tatten will join the Oklahoma State staff as a grad assistant working with the offensive line. 

Auburn: Former Auburn linebacker and graduate assistant Travis Williams has been hired as a defensive analyst according to AUTigers.com. 

Boise State: Boise State has signed Bryan Harsin to a five-year contract with at least $6.5 million guaranteed, with an automatic one-year extension every time the Broncos reach the nine-win mark. He will earn a base salary of $1 million in 2014 up to $1.65 million in 2018, with bonuses ranging from $15,000 for a division title and $250,000 for a national championship. Staff salaries include: defensive coordinator Marcel Yates ($317,500), offensive coordinator Mike Sanford ($305,000), offensive line coach Scott Huff ($270,000), special teams/running backs/associate head coach Kent Riddle ($250,000), defensive line/assistant head coach Steve Caldwell ($220,000), linebackers coach Andy Avalos ($210,000), tight ends coach Eliah Drinkwitz ($160,000), wide receivers coach Junior Adams ($160,000), and defensive backs coach Julius Brown ($160,000). Additionally, director of football operations Brian Wilkerson will earn $72,500, director of player personnel Taylor Tharp will make $65,000, assistant director of player personnel Antwon Murray will make $45,000 and assistant athletics director for football Brad Larrondo will earn $71,511. 

Illinois Wesleyan (D-III): Per sources, IWU has hired former University of San Diego running backs coach Christian Taylor to be their offensive coordinator.

John Carroll (D-III - OH): Chris Shula has accepted the defensive coordinator job at John Carroll, according to a report from the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. Shula spend last season as a defensive grad assistant at Indiana.

North Texas: Per source, North Texas will add Houston Texans assistant defensive backs coach Perry Carter as safeties coach and Concordia University (MI) defensive backs coach  LaMarcus Hicks as corners coach. 

Bucknell: Per source, Susquehanna defensive coordinator Brad Fordyce is joining the Bucknell defensive staff as linebackers coach / recruiting coordinator. 

Idaho: Sources tell us Idaho is looking for "best fit" to fill the open defensive position (doesn't necessarily have to be corners). 

Michigan State: Michigan State released details of Mark Dantonio's new agreement today along with updated salary figures for all of his staff. Full details are here...short summary is Dantonio isn't leaving for a long, long time. Dantonio ($3.64M), Narduzzi ($904k), DBs Harlon Barnett ($260k), DL Ron Burton ($244k), LBs Mike Tressel ($260k), co-OC Jim Bollman ($368k), co-OC Dave Warner ($379k), QBs Brad Salem ($255k), WRs Terrence Samuel ($244k), OL Mark Staten ($255k). Bowling Green: Per source, Idaho corners coach Mike Mickens is joining the Bowling Green staff. Sounds like Mickens will coach the corners...will update once finalized.

Cal Poly: Per source, former NIU defensive grad assistant Olaitan Oguntodu has been offered the corners position at Cal Poly. 

Saint Francis (FCS - PA): Saint Francis is looking for a game 9/27/14 or 10/4/14. Prefer a home game. If interested please email A.J. Anderson at [email protected]

Central Michigan: As we previously reported, Sherrone Moore has now been officially introduced as tight ends coach. Moore spent last season at Louisville in the same capacity and will take over for Butch Barry, who now oversees the defensive line.

Michigan: Doug Nussmeier has a three year deal and will make $830,000 this season, $860,000 in year 2 and $880,000 in year 3. He will also get a $200,000 bonus if he is still there at the end of year 3. 

Southern Connecticut State: Sources tell us, and the New Haven Register is reporting that offensive coordinator Tom Godek is being promoted to head coach.

Oklahoma Panhandle State: Per source, OPSU has hired Northern Arizona grad assistant Kyle Jacobo to coach the receivers.

Chabot (CC - CA): Chabot Community College is seeking qualified candidates to coach the running backs and a defensive assistant coach. These are stipend only positions. Interested applicants should email resume and references to Head Coach Danny Calcagno at [email protected]

Arizona: Per source, Sean Patterson (former Duquesne quarterback) is joining the staff as offensive grad assistant. Patterson fills the position of Lee Coleman who recently accepted the receivers position at Georgia Military College. 

Arizona State: Former Texas director of player personnel Patrick Suddes will be Arizona State's new assistant athletics director for recruiting according to ASUDevils.com. 

Sioux Falls (D-II - SD): Eric Inama has accepted the defensive backs / special teams position at Sioux Falls. Inama spent last season at Midland University (NAIA - NE) as the defensive coordinator. We understand that Sioux Falls has no open positions on staff at this time.

Arizona Christian (NAIA - AZ): Arizona Christian University (NAIA Phoenix, AZ) is looking for a defensive line coach. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience at the collegiate or high school varsity level, experience working with HUDL, and MUST be Christian. Responsibilities include on field coaching, player position meetings, game planning and recruiting. This is a stipend position only that pays up to $5000. There is no meal plan, classes, housing or benefits associated with this position. Phoenix area residents are strongly encouraged to apply, however all applicants will be considered. Kentucky Christian (NAIA): Blake Cattrell, a former Culver-Stockton assistant, has been hired as the offensive line coach.

Houston Texans: Will Lawing is joining the staff as a defensive quality control coach. Will (the son of Florida defensive line coach Brad Lawing) spent last season as a grad assistant at Penn State under Bill O'Brien.

Wilkes (D-III - PA): Muhlenberg (D-III - PA) special teams coordinator / quarterbacks coach Trey Brown has now been announced as the program's new head coach.

Georgia Southern: Per source, Chattanooga (FCS) offensive line coach Alex Atkins will be the new offensive line coach at Georgia Southern.  

Azusa Pacific: Sources tell us that Sioux Falls defensive backs coach Cesar Rivas has accepted a position at Azusa Pacific. We hear that he will coach the linebackers.

Henderson State (D-II - AR): Henderson State University is seeking applicants for an Offensive Analyst position and a Defensive Analyst position. Positions will include meals and housing. Davidson (FCS - NC): Per source, former Arkansas State co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks Bush Hamdan will join the Davidson staff as offensive coordinator. 247 has reported the same.
