Minnesota State - Mankato (D-II): Head coach Todd Hoffner, placed on administrative leave in August and reassigned by the university in December, was fired Monday but, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, that decision will be challenged by the state's faculty union.
Berry College (D-III - GA): Augusta Lakeside (GA) High School defensive coordinator Kenneth Baker has been hired to Berry College's inaugural football staff as linebackers coach.
Florida: Florida has released some updated salary information. New special teams coordinator Jeff Choate will make $290,000 ($100,000 more than he was making at UTEP). Offensive coordinator Brent Pease has been extended to 2015 at a salary of $590,000 and he will now receive a $100,000 bonus if still employed on Jan 31, 2014. Offensive line coach Tim Davis raised to $300,000 (under contract into 2014) and running backs coach Brian White now makes $290,000 (contract into 2014). Tight ends coach Derek Lewis now earns $215,000.

Mount Union (D-III - OH): Head coach Larry Kehres has stepped down as head coach (but will remain as athletic director). Vince Kehres has been named head coach.
Sam Houston State (FCS): Sources tell us that McNeese State (FCS) defensive coordinator Mike Collins will be the new defensive coordinator at Sam Houston State.
Kennesaw State: According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, head coach Brian Bohannon has added South Paulding HS (GA) head coach Tim Glanton to the staff as an assistant coach.

San Francisco 49ers: The Niners have announced that they have hired former Raiders receiver Ronald Curry as an offensive assistant.
Dakota State (NAIA - SD): Dakota State University (NAIA) in Madison, SD is still looking for a Defensive Assistant Coach and a Track Throwing Coach. It has now been moved to a 10 month position and the salary has been bumped to $23,000.00 a year. There are no other outside duties, other than assigned by the head football and track coach. Bachelor’s degree required. Prefer candidates with experience in playing and coaching Defensive Line, as well as throwing and coaching throwers at both the high school and collegiate levels.
