Southern Arkansas: Blinn Junior College (TX) head coach Brad Franchione and Nebraska-Kearney DC Bob Crocker are candidates for the head coaching position at Southern Arkansas. 

Syracuse: Greg Robinson has been dismissed as head football coach at Syracuse University.  FootballScoop has learned that Philadephia Eagles assistant, Mark Whipple, will be strongly considered by Syracuse officials.  Whipple has won both a Super Bowl (Pittsburgh Steelers 2004) and D1-AA national championship as UMASS head coach in 1998.

Clemson: Athletic director Terry Don Phillips is expected to interview Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster on Friday.

Charlotte: Charlotte could be looking for a head coach in the near future.  The school's board of trustees voted on Thursday to accept chancellor Philip Dubois' recommendation that Charlotte move forward with starting a football program by 2013. But the unanimous vote came with qualifications: the school must raise about $45 million to pay for coaches, scholarships and a 12,000-seat on-campus stadium.

West Virginia Wesleyan: Bill Struble has been relieved of his duties as the head football coach.  In 25 years, Struble won three conference championships in 9 years between 1995 and 2003 including back to back titles in 2002 and 2003. The Bobcats went 1-9 this year.
