Wyoming: We hear that New Hampshire cornerbacks coach Alex Grinch will join Dave Christensen's staff at Wyoming. It also appears that Northern Iowa defensive line coach Jerry Montgomery will end up in Laramie.
Carroll University: Offensive Line Coach/Assistant Track Coach - The Offensive Line Coach and Assistant Track Coach reports to the Head football Coach, the Head Track Coach and the Athletic Director and is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the university's intercollegiate football and track programs. Responsibilities: Assists the Head Football Coach and the Track Coach in practices and games. Follows all rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA Division III, the Midwest Conference, and the Carroll University Athletic Program Professional Code of Conduct. Recruits and retains student athletes for the university and the athletic program. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree required. Previous experience in football and track coaching required. Participation in collegiate football/track preferred. Human Relations Skills: Ability to function effectively as a team player. Positive attitude towards the university and its intercollegiate programs essential. Ability to conduct self in a productive, professional manner at all times. Oklahoma State: Oklahoma State has rewarded Mike Gundy by agreeing to a new 7-year contract worth $15.7 million.
Ole Miss: Ole Miss officials met with head coach Houston Nutt this morning to improve the contracts of the head football coach and his assistants.

Bowie State: FootballScoop has just learned that head coach Mike Lynn will not return for the 2009 season. Lynn and athletic director Derek Carter came to a mutual agreement this morning. In Lynn's 5th season, Bowie State finished 5-4.
Eureka College: Kurt Barth has been named head football coach. Barth previously served the past four seasons as the head coach at Eureka High School in Illinois.
Illinois State: FootballScoop has learned that Illinois State officials will conduct interviews next week with Georgia State offensive coordinator John Bond and Georgia Tech assistant Jeff Monken. Monken is the slotbacks / special teams coordinator for the Yellow Jackets.
New Mexico: We hear that Dennis Franchione has spoken with New Mexico.
New Mexico State: Sources tell us that New Mexico State will seek permission to talk with UCLA defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker.
Northeastern Oklahoma A&M: NEO sssistant coaches Travis Rhatigan and Jared Green will not return. Rhatigan served as the co-defensive coordinator. Green served as the defensive line coach.
Northwestern State: We hear that Northwestern State has interest in talking with Arkansas State defensive coordinator Kevin Corliss.
Syracuse: FootballScoop has confirmed that East Carolina head coach Skip Holtz has indeed spoken with Syracuse. As FootballScoop first reported, New Orleans Saints assistant Doug Marrone will interview.

Kansas State: Kansas assistant coach Joe Bob Clements has been hired to coach the defensive ends at Kansas State.
Miami (OH): We hear that Michigan defensive coordinator Scott Shafer is interested in the Miami (OH) head coaching position.
Washington: Mike Leach has just withdrew his name for consideration of the Washington head coaching job.
Mayville State University: has an immediate opening for a restricted earnings coach for spring 2009 semester that will turn into a Graduate Assistant Position the fall 2009 semester. This is a perfect opportunity for a young coach trying to get some experience. Position would be on the defensive side of the ball (preferably DL) and would include coaching a position group, recruiting you own area, and assisting with the strength and conditioning program. Position would run from January 5th through May 15th and would pay a stipend of $2,000. Then next year the position would be August 1st through May 15th with a $4000 stipend. A dorm room would be available for $50 a month as well as a meal plan on campus for 5 meals per week. Graduate studies would include a full tuition waiver and are done through the University of North Dakota in the Kinesiology program with specializations in Exercise Science, Coaching, or Sports Management.
