Baltimore Ravens: Former Norwich University wide receivers coach Jason Brooks has accepted the offensive quality control job with the Baltimore Ravens. Brooks will now coach on the same staff with his father, Clarence Brooks, who coaches the Ravens' defensive line.

Tennessee: FootballScoop has learned the Vols have just hired San Francisco 49ers personnel assistant, Kyle Strongin, as the new coordinator of football operations.
Indianapolis Colts: Ron Johnson and Frank Winters are joining the coaching staff. Johnson will assistant with the wide receivers. Winters, the longtime center for Brett Farve in Green Bay, will assistant with the offensive line.
Ohio University: FootballScoop has learned that student-assistant Nick Saum will move into the graduate assistant position that came available when Brian Haines left for West Virginia.

SMU: We hear it is likely that head coach June Jones will add former Texas Longhorn and Atlanta Falcons player, Eric Metcalf, to the Mustangs' coaching staff.
Tennessee: We hear that UT has filled the Coordinator of Football Operations position.

We thought it was worth pointing out that 10 Division-I programs list "Co-defensive coordinators". Another 8 programs list a "Defensive Coordinator" and a "Co-defensive coordinator". Duke actually has 2 coaches with the title of "Defensive Coordinator".

Indiana State: Former Smyrna High School (TN) and Stanford University wide receiver, Luke Powell, has joined the staff at Indiana State as defensive backs coach. Powell was once coached by Indiana State head coach Trent Miles during Powell's early years on The Farm in Palo Alto.

Las Vegas - Head coach Jim Fassel will work with Isaac Carter (defensive backs), Donald Eck (offensive line), Sam Garnes (defensive assistant), Larry Mac Duff (DC / special teams), Charles Shelton (DFO / running backs), Eric Van Heusen (special teams / tight ends), Michael Wilson (WRs) and Kevin Wolthausen (d-line).
Orlando - Head coach Jim Haslett will have Bill Bradley (d-backs), Chuck Bresnahan (LBs), Jay Gruden (OC), Carl Hairston (d-line), Bill Laveroni (OL), Sean McVay (quality control / WRs), Ricky Porter (DFO / running backs) and Al Roberts (special teams / tight ends).
New York - Head coach Ted Cottrell's staff includes Donald Blackmon (DC), Derrick Burroughs (admin. assistant / defensive assistant), Earle Mosley (RBs), John Tice (OL) and Pete Rodriquez (special teams).
San Fran - Dennis Green will work with Martin Bayless (DBs), Trent Bray (LBs / quality control), Charles Collins (WRs / TEs), Robert Griffith (defensive assistant), Art Kehoe (OL), Mike Kruczek (OC), Mike McDaniel (RBs / Quality Control), Sid Pillai (DFO) and Brian Stewart (DC)

Florida International: We hear former Rutgers assistant coach Cary Codette could soon join the FIU staff as defensive line coach.
South LaFourche HS (South Louisiana): No word yet on if the Tarpons will make a run at former alum, Ed Orgeron, after the school's head football coach resigned yesterday to accept another coaching position. Our sources tell us the Tarpons might not be able to match the $650,000 annual salary that Coach O is making at Tennessee.

Philadelphia Eagles: Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Johnson will take a leave of absence while battling cancer. Please keep Coach Johnson and his family in your thoughts. Secondary coach Sean McDermott will take over the defense until Coach Johnson can return to the team.
South Florida: Assistant AD for Football student-athlete development, Curtis Jones, will not return.
Florida Atlantic University: The Strength and Conditioning staff at FAU cordially invites you to the FAU Strength and Conditioning clinic on Saturday, May 30, 2009. This one-day seminar will provide you with information on various styles of training, how to incorporate and apply them into your program properly, and the importance of different nutritional aspects such as content, type, and timing of nutrient consumption to help aid in recovery and speed athletic improvement. Camp Director & FAU's Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, Matt Pleskovic will lead the clinic with his assistants. The schedule will consist of:
