Florida State: Veteran defensive coordinator, Mickey Andrews, says this will likely be his last season in the coaching profession.

Delaware State: We are hearing that Charley Molnar III has accepted the offensive grad assistant position at Delaware State.

Santa Monica College: We are hearing this morning that El Camino College co-defensive coordinator Gifford Lindheim has been contacted about the interim head coaching position at Santa Monica College.

Southern Oregon: Our sources tell us that former University of Dubuque wide receivers coach, Byron Abram, has accepted the wide receivers job at Southern Oregon.

Tulane: Head coach Bob Toledo will hand over play-calling duties to offensive coordinator Dann Dodd.

Sunday Morning: Coaches Quick Hits

Memphis: Former Memphis defensive back, Rod Smith, will serve as a defensive GA for the Tigers this season. 

Auburn: Former Auburn linebacker Travis Williams is serving as the new defensive GA for the Tigers.

Lindenwood University: St. Charles, MO, Graduate Assistant coach.  The position will be serving on the offensive side (preferable WR experience).  The position includes coaching a position, strength & conditioning, recruiting, use of digital editing system, and other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach and coordinator.  The position will begin ASAP.  Compensation includes combination of Room/Board/Classes.  Coaching or playing experience at the collegiate or HS level is preferred.  Candidates should email resume to: This email address is being protected from spambots. Friday Morning: Coaches Quick Hits

DePauw University: Matt Walked has just resigned as head coach.  Assistant coach Robby Long will take over as interim head coach.

North Greenville University: Brett Hickman has joined the staff as linebackers / special teams coordinator.  Hickman previously served as a student assistant at East Carolina University.

Indianapolis Colts: Senior offensive line coach Howard Mudd will retire at the end of the season. 

Northwestern State: We are hearing this afternoon that grad assistant Jeremiah Fusicus is being promoted to running backs coach.  Our source tells us the former running backs coach is taking a high school coaching job.  Also, linebackers coach Darren Drago will not return, and head coach Bradley Dale Peveto will take a more active role in coaching the linebackers. 

Missouri: Athletic director, Mike Alden, has received a 5-year contract extension.  But Alden, starting his 12th year as athletic director, will still receive the same base salary of $287,375 with a guaranteed annual income of $537,375. Any extra pay for Alden will depend on whether Missouri continues to achieve academic, athletic and financial goals of the department and on Alden's remaining at the school for the next five years.

Thursday Morning: Coaches Quick Hits

Hampton University: is no longer taking inquires regarding the GA position.

Morrisville State University: Maurice Jackson will coach the wide receivers.  Jackson is a former Syracuse wide receiver and played the last few years with the Rochester Raiders.  Former University of Buffalo recruiting assistant, David Mazza, will coach the running backs.  Jay Davis will serve as defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach.  Davis previously served as the defensive coordinator at University of Dubuque. Former high school coaches Joel Adour and Adam Rowlands will coach the linebackers.  Also, former high school coach John Pluta will coach the defensive line.

Wednesday Morning: Coaches Quick Hits

South Florida: Marquel Blackwell, the former USF quarterback, has joined the staff as a program assistant working with the offensive coaching staff.

Colby College: Mike Coyne has joined the staff as the new wide receivers coach.  Coyne served last season as an offensive assistant with the Baltimore Ravens.

Bowling Green: Stan Watson has filled the last full-time position at BGSU.  Watson will coach the cornerbacks. 

Northern Iowa: We are hearing this morning that Atif Austin will serve as special teams coordinator.  Erik Chinandor and Jeremiah Johnson will serve as co-recruiting coordinators.

Franklin College: We hear former Franklin College team captain, Dan McManus, has joined the staff as defensive intern. 


Hampton University: has an immediate opening for an offensive graduate assistant position. This will include a small stipend as well as classes. Please fax resume to 757-728-6664 and make it attention to Coach Field.

East Bay Outlaws: semi-pro team, a member of the NCFL league in northern California, is in need of position coaches, and a head coach.  These are volunteer positions at present.  Games start late March, early April. Practices start late November / early December.  Typically, we practice once per week.
