Big East: ESPN is reporting that former WNBA president Val Ackerman is the front-runner for the Big East commissioner job.
Penn State: Bill O'Brien has agreed to a new contract at Penn State. He will make a base salary of $1.9 million in 2013, $1.1 million in 2014, $1.65 million in 2015. In addition to his base salary, O'Brien receives $1 million / year for TV and radio appearances and $350,000 / year from Nike. His salary will then grow five percent for the duration of the contract. He will also earn up to $200,000 in bonuses for bowls the Nittany Lions would have appeared while the program is under NCAA sanctions. Thus, for the 2013-2014 season O'Brien is expected to earn approximately $3.3 million. View the full contract here.
Adelphi University (D-II - NY): Hofstra executive associate athletic director Danny McCabe has been named the athletic director at Adelphi, effective July 8.
Austin Peay (FCS - TN): Head coach Kirby Cannon has announced that running backs coach Paul Derrick has resigned due to family reasons and has chosen to return to the Nashville area to coach high school football. Offensive coordinator / receivers coach Marcus Gildersleeve will shift over to running backs and Cannon will look to hire a receivers coach. Additionally, Kyran Weaver has joined the staff and will coach the linebackers and serve as strength and conditioning coordinator.
Missouri Southern (D-II): Head coach Daryl Daye has announced the hiring of Rodney Freeman as wide receivers coach. Freeman coached wide receivers at Western State in Colorado last season.

San Francisco 49ers: Offensive coordinator Greg Roman has reportedly agreed to a new two year agreement (through the 2015 season).
Simon Fraser (D-II - Canada): Sources tell us that former Eastern New Mexico grad assistant (and Samford assistant) Jesse Flynn-Levasseur has accepted the corners job.
Minot State (D-II - ND): Minot State University is looking for a graduate assistant. Stipend is $5,000 with a tuition waiver. NO housing or meals included. Chicago Bears: Mitchell Tanney has been added as the team's director of analytics. Tanney has served as the manager of football products for STATS LLC in recent years.
Oklahoma State: Returning members of Mike Gundy's staff have received raises. Defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer will make $462,000 and offensive line coach Joe Wickline will also make $462,000. Receivers coach Kasey Dunn ($280,000) and running backs coach Jemal Singleton ($280,000) each received $70,000 raises from last year, and corners coach Van Malone will make $260,000. Gundy received a raise as well, from $3.275 million to $3.45 million.

Inez Dickey, the mother of Memphis offensive coordinator Darrell Dickey and wife of former Kansas State head coach Jim Dickey Sr., passed away over the weekend after a long battle with cancer. Please keep the Dickey family in your prayers.

Prairie View A&M (FCS - TX): Ashley Robinson will be named athletic director on Tuesday according to the Houston Chronicle. Robinson worked previously at Prairie View as the assistant vice president of compliance and has served as the athletic director at Mississippi Valley State for the past 10 months.
