The college football world mourns the loss of former LSU, Army and South Carolina head coach Paul Dietzel, who passed away early this morning at age 89. Dietzel earned a 109-95-5 record in 20 years as a head coach from 1955-74, and won national Coach of the Year honors in 1958 for leading LSU to its first national championship. He also served as the athletic director at South Carolina, Indiana and LSU.

Former Northwestern head coach Francis Peay (1986 - 1991) passed away early Saturday morning at age 69 after a battle with prostate cancer. Please keep his family in your prayers.
Kent State: Athletic Director Joel Nielsen has received an 18% raise in his base salary to go along with his two-year contract extension, bringing his salary to $308,000. The raise makes him the highest paid AD in the Mid-American Conference.

West Florida: The school has announced plans to field a football program, beginning with the 2016 season. With a plan to compete in Division II, West Florida will hire a head coach this spring with a salary of "something like $80,000 a year."
Aix-en - Provence Argonauts (France): Aix-en-Provence Argonaughts (Euro 2), located in Southern France, is looking for defensive line or offensive line coach for the upcoming season. The defensive line position will be dual tasked as the Head Coach & DC for the JR squad. The offensive line position will be dual tasked as SR level HC & OC. Oklahoma: The OU Board of Regents has officially approved a two-year contract extension for Bob Stoops. The extension, which includes no additional raises or bonuses, keeps Stoops at Oklahoma through 2020. Should Stoops remain in Norman through the life of his current deal, he will tie Bennie Owen as the school's all-time longest-tenured football coach.
Niagra: Athletics director Tom Crowley has been let go after 11 months on the job. Associate AD for external relations Steve Butler will serve as acting athletics director.
Akron: Head coach Terry Bowden has announced that offensive line coach Alan Arrington has been promoted to assistant head coach.
