Montreal Alouettes: We hear Montreal has agreed to a new contract extension with head coach Marc Trestman.
Florida Atlantic: Kirk Hoza will not return as defensive coordinator. We hear Kurt Van Valkenburgh has been promoted to defensive coordinator. Valkenburgh will continue to coach the linebackers and FAU will look to hire a secondary coach. GA Jared Allen has been promoted to wide receivers coach. OC Darryl Jackson will move from wide receivers to quarterbacks.
Tusculum College: no jobs are open at Tusculum College.
San Jose State: We hear Mike MacIntyre will get a 5-year contract.
Kansas: Former head coach Mark Mangino will get $3 million in a settlement with the university.
Duke: With co-defensive coordinator Mike MacIntyre taking the San Jose State head coaching job, we hear David Cutcliffe could name co-defensive coordinator / defensive line coach Marion Hobby as the new DC. Our sources tell us Cutcliffe may bring in former Tennessee defensive ends coach Steve Caldwell and let Derek Jones take over the entire secondary.
Emporia State: We hear Coffeyville CC defensive assistant Steve Vincent will be joining the staff at Emporia State.
Nicholls State: Our sources now tell us to look for Nicholls State to hire either Tim Rebowe (ULL assistant) or St. Charles Catholic HS head coach Frank Monica. Monica was a long time college OC, who for years owned the River Parish recruiting area. He is extremely well liked in the Thibodaux and New Orleans areas.
East Central CC (MS): We hear interim head coach Brian Anderson has been hired as the new head coach.
Kansas: None of the assistant will be retained including David Beatty, who many thought would be a part of Gill's staff. Gill said the decision not retain Beatty was very difficult.
Cincinnati: Butch Jones will retain Kerry Coombs, who served as the defensive backs coach this year at Cincinnati. Jones will not coach in the Sugar Bowl.
Central Michigan: Associate head coach Steve Stripling has been named interim head coach.
ULM: Todd Berry has hired Illinois State OC Steve Farmer and retained Troy Reffett as DC.
Edmonton Eskimos: Head coach Richie Hall will also serve as co-defensive coordinator next season.

Livingstone College: Elvin James has accepted the head coach. James comes from Elizabeth City State, where he served as the assistant to the athletic director.
San Jose State: Duke DC Mike MacIntyre will be named head coach.
Denison University: Our sources tell us the head coaching job will open with the resignation of Nick Fletcher.
Murray State: We hear the interviews are over and Murray State will make a decision tonight or tomorrow morning. Our source tells us Hatcher, McCray, and Shankweiler all had very good interviews.
Tennessee: Lane Kiffin met with Kippy Brown on Tuesday according to ESPN's Chris Low.
Marshall: HerdNation is reporting that Marshall is planning to offer Doc Holliday 5 years at $650,000 per year.
Marshall: Just moments ago Mitch Vingle of the West Virginia Gazette, "West Virginia associate head coach Doc Holliday has left Florida, where he was on the road recruiting for the Mountaineers, and is en route to Huntington. It also looks like he's en route to the head coaching football job at Marshall. Sources, who asked to remain anonymous, told the Gazette that no deal has been finalized, but that Holliday is the apparent choice to succeed Mark Snyder, who recently chose to resign rather than be fired as the MU coach."
Southern University (LA): Prairie View DC Heishma Northern has interviewed for the head coach job. Northern was the 2008 FootballScoop D1-AA Coordinator of the Year powered by MUSCLE MILK.

Akron: We hear North Dakota State linebackers coach Charlie Camp will join the staff at Akron.
Simon Frazer: is not accepting any more applications for the defensive coordinator job.
Kansas: We hear the only assistant who may get to stay is wide receivers coach Dave Beatty. All other assistants appear on the way out.

Illinois: We hear Zook talked to former Marshall head coach Mark Snyder today. Our sources tell us Vic Koenning will inform Zook of his decision to join the staff by Thursday.
Cincinnati: The Bearcats have just hired Central Michigan head coach Butch Jones.
Buffalo: We hear AD Warde Manuel has interest in Oklahoma assistant Jay Norvell, Cincinnati OC Jeff Quinn, New Orleans Saints tight ends coach Terry Malone, Florida quarterbacks coach Scott Loeffler, and Buffalo OC Danny Barrett.
Alcorn State: Head coach Earnest Collins has agreed to a 3-year contract extension.
Kansas Wesleyan: FootballScoop has learned Chris Snyder is joining the staff as OC. Snyder previously served as the OC at Mendocino College (CA).
Akron: FootballScoop has learned that Akron head coach Rob Ianello has hired John Latina as offensive coordinator. Latina previously served as the assistant head coach for offense / offensive line coach at Notre Dame. Before that, he served as the offensive coordinator / offensive line coach at Ole Miss.
ULM: FootballScoop has just learned the ULM will hire Todd Berry as head coach. Berry previously served as the OC at UNLV.
ULM: FootballScoop has confirmed Bob Trott and Jody Allen are no longer in the running. Our sources tell us it's Todd Berry.

Texas Southern: Defensive coordinator Kevin Ramsey is still at Texas Southern. A report in the Houston Chronicle this morning was inaccurate. Ramsey's defense finished 21st nationally in total defense this season.
Kansas: We hear Buffalo assistant Aaron Stamm will be joining Turner Gill's staff. Stamm served as the special teams coordinator / tight ends coach at Buffalo.
Western Michigan: We hear WMU head coach Bill Cubit will talk with Florida State defensive grad assistant / former NFL defensive back, Terrell Buckley, regarding a defensive position.
Youngstown State: Eric Wolford has been introduced as the new head coach.
Princeton: Our sources tell us Maryland wide receivers coach Lee Hull has talked with Princeton officials.
ULM: FootballScoop has learned that Todd Bradford, Mark Hudspeth, and Joe Robinson are out of the running. Our sources tell us ULM defensive coordinator Troy Reffett is still a candidate.
Avila University: Moments ago, MidAmerican Nazarene defensive coordinator Kevin Porter was introduced as the new head coach at Avila University.
Illinois: We hear Zook has made a huge offer to Kansas State co-defensive coordinator Vic Koenning.
Memphis: We hear Tennessee offensive GA, Mitch Browning, has interviewed for the OC position.
ULM: We hear ULM talked with UVA linebackers coach Bob Trott and Todd Berry. We heard Southern Miss defensive coordinator Todd Bradford was in the thick of things. Our sources tell us the ULM AD has called several of the candidates involved in the search today to thank them for applying.
Buffalo: We hear Cincinnati OC Jeff Quinn has interviewed at Buffalo.
Tusculum College: Tusculum assistant coach Kevin Weston has been promoted to defensive coordinator. He replaces Pete Golding, who left to take the same position at Delta State. Assistant coach Karl Scott will add the title of recruiting coordinator. Former Tusculum assistant Steve McGill has returned to the program in a part-time role.

Illinois: A report in Illinois says Paul Petrino will sign a two-year deal at $475,000 per season. Yes, you have just read $475,000 per season. We have also heard Zook has made an enormous offer to land his top choice for the defensive coordinator position. We wonder if Zook has pulled a similar move to New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton....taking a pay cut of his own to lure Gregg Williams (former Jacksonville DC) to New Orleans. Payton also promised Williams that his son would have a job with the Saints. Seems like that was a really smart move by Payton. Saints fans sure are glad he did.
Winston Salem State: Fayetteville State OC Connell Maynor will be named head coach.
Cincinnati: We hear Skip Holtz has interviewed. Since Al Golden withdrew this morning, it appears Butch Jones or Skip Holtz will land the job. Of course, offensive coordinator Jeff Quinn has interviewed as well.
Virginia Tech: Bud Foster has a new 5-year contract.
Texas Southern: We hear Kevin Ramsey (defensive coordinator/defensive backs), Melvin Spears (running backs), Archie McDaniel (linebackers), and Gregory Green (special teams coordinator / defensive ends) will not return.

Cincinnati: Central Michigan head coach Butch Jones interviewed today.
Southern University (LA): We hear Washington Redskins running backs coach Stump Mitchell talked with officials from Southern.
South Carolina State: We hear head coach Buddy Pough will soon receive a four-year contract extension through 2015. Pough is not interested in the head coaching job at Southern University (LA).
San Jose State: We have heard Jim McElwain turned down an opportunity to become the head coach at San Jose State.
Virginia Tech: Hokies Journal is reporting Bud Foster has agreed to a new deal at Virginia Tech after recently talking with UGA, Florida, and Florida State.
Georgia: We hear Mark Richt has spoken with Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster.
Itawamba CC: We are hearing the offensive line line coach at ICC, John Williams, has been promoted head coach.
Hofstra: There is a report that former Hofstra head coach Dave Cohen has job offers from Western Michigan and Georgia Southern. According to the The Newsday report, Cohen claims to have offers to be the DC at both schools. WMU head coach Bill Cubit said Sunday that he has just talked with Cohen.
Illinois: We hear Jeff Brohm will be going to Illinois as quarterbacks coach. Brohm served this past season as the quarterbacks coach at FAU.
Millsaps College: We hear several assistant coaches were told today by the AD they would not be retained.
Iowa Wesleyan: Kent Anderson has accepted the head coaching job. Anderson has served 15 years as a head coach in Germany. Anderson is orginally from Iowa.
Arkansas: Garrick McGee has been promoted to offensive coordinator.
Sam Houston State: Jason Philips (Houston co-offensive coordinator / wide receivers), Kim Helton (UAB OC), Willie Fritz (Central Missouri HC), Darrell Dickey (New Mexico OC), Dave Smith (Klein Oak HS), and former A&M Consolidated and Kileen Harker Heights HS coach Ross Rogers are the finalists. On campus interviews are taking place through Wednesday.
Kansas: FootballScoop has learned that Southeast Missouri State head coach Tony Samuel will not be joining the Kansas staff. A report in Kansas over the weekend stated that as many as 4 former head coaches were expected to be a part of Turner Gill's staff. Chuck Long and Carl Torbush have joined the staff. FootballScoop has confirmed Tony Samuel will not be one of the other former head D1 coach to the join the staff.
South Carolina: Steve Spurrier has agreed to a contract extension through 2013. Also, assuming Eric Wolford officialy accepts the Youngstown State job, we hear Spurrier could try to lure Greg Adkins from Syracuse.
Louisville: Our sources tell us former UNLV head coach Mike Sanford interviewed in Louisville with Charlie Strong over the weekend.
Georgia: We hear Mark Richt has spoken with Vic Koenning on the phone. It will be interesting to see if Illinois goes after Koenning as the defensive coordinator.
Toronto Argonauts: Head coach Bart Andrus will not return.

ULM: We hear Joe Robinson (LSU special teams) and Todd Bradford (Southern Miss DC) talked with ULM at one point. Our sources tell us ULM may have talked with Florida State assistant Jody Allen. We are also told a big-name OC is in the mix.
Illinois: We hear Louisville assistant Greg Nord is heading to Illinois as tight ends coach.
UNLV: We hear Jacksonville Jaguars OC Dirk Koetter is certainly in the mix.
Portland State: Our sources tell us that Nevada grad assistants Dave Brown and Ahmed Zarrugh will both join Nigel Burton's staff at Portland State. Brown served as the offensive GA at Nevada. Zarrugh served as the defensive GA.
Youngstown State: Our sources tell us Eric Wolford told the South Carolina coaching staff he was not going to take the YSU job until yesterday afternoon when YSU offered more money for the assistant coaches and potential bonus money. Our sources tell us the Wolford's salary was not an issue. We hear that as of early last night, Wolford had not officially accepted the job, however, we do hear Wolford and the YSU athletic director will speak shortly and Wolford is expected to accept the job. Wolford did fly to Youngstown this morning.
Fresno State: AD Thomas Boeh has offered a contract extension "for years beyond the 2010 season" to head coach Pat Hill.

Youngstown State: 3 tv stations in Youngstown are reporting that Eric Wolford (South Carolina offensive line coach) will be named head coach. We have yet to confirm.
ULM: We are hearing two more names entered the picture yesterday. Our source tells us an announcement should come by Thursday.
Illinois: Our sources tell us Illinois has just hired Paul Petrino as offensive coordinator. Petrino just finished his 2nd season as the offensive coordinator at Arkansas.
Buffalo: OC Danny Barrett has been named interim head coach. A national search is underway, but Barrett will be strongly considered.
Notre Dame: We hear the staff should be finalized early this week.
Louisville: Our sources tell us Charlie Strong is interested in hiring Georgia Tech linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary. Strong and Jean-Mary coached together at South Carolina.
Furman: We have learned the defensive line job has just opened up.
Stanford: Jim Harbaugh has signed a three-year contract extension through 2014.
Marshall: The West Virginia Gazette reports Butch Jones, Paul Petrino (Arkansas OC), Mike MacIntyre (Duke DC), Danny Rocco (Liberty HC), and Brad Lambert (Wake Forest DC) are the candidates AD Mike Hammrick is interested in. Jones was in Huntington for an interview this weekend.
Colorado: It will be interesting to see if Ashley Ambrose shifts over to the defensive side.
Tennessee: According to GoVolsExta, "Tennessee athletic director Mike Hamilton said Eddie Gran was the only assistant coach to not sign a memorandum of understanding, which acts as a contract. By not signing the MOU, Gran, who was UT's running backs coach and special teams coordinator, is not contractually obligated to pay UT for terminating his contract after making what is considered a lateral move to Florida State. Gran, who was paid $185,000 and was to received $195,000 in 2010, would have owed UT $92,500 payable over 24 months. Since the rest of UT's coaching staff has signed memorandums of understanding, each would have to pay a buyout for a lateral move to another school. Tennessee's coaches are expected to sign completed formal contracts in the near future."
Georgia Southern: We hear GA Tech offensive grad assistant Brett Gilliland will likely join Monken's staff at GSU.
Kansas: The Kansas City Star is reporting Turner Gill has hired Carl Torbush (Mississippi State defensive coordinator) as his defensive coordinator and Chuck Long as offensive coordinator. Long is the former head coach at San Diego State. The report also says that 2 more coaches that have served as head coaches will be joining the staff. Torbush once served the head coach at North Carolina. We wonder if Tony Samuel will have a role on the Kansas staff. Samuel (current Southeast Missouri head coach) once served as the head coach at New Mexico State. Gill and Samuel worked together at Nebraska.
Louisville: We hear former UNLV head coach Mike Sanford talked with Charlie Strong.

Memphis: We hear Larry Porter talked to former Michigan State running back / Miami area high school coach, Sedrick Irvin, about coaching the running backs.

Western Michigan: We hear that defensive coordinator Steve Morrison will not return.
Arizona: We hear Mike Stoops has talked with Colorado secondary coach Greg Brown. Our sources tell us linebackers coach Tim Kish will be promoted to defensive coordinator.
Kansas: Turner Gill has accepted the head coaching job at Kansas.
Houston: Kevin Sumlin stated today, "After speaking with representatives with the University of Cincinnati yesterday and today, I declined an interview," he said in a statement. "I am looking forward to our first bowl practice later this afternoon and later honoring our seniors at the football banquet tonight."
Youngstown State: Our sources tell us South Carolina offensive line coach / run game coordinator Eric Wolford is not in the running.
Richmond: Elon head coach Pete Lembo has stated he is not interested.
ULM: We are hearing Chris Cosh (Kansas State co-defensive coordinator) and Doug Pederson (Philadelphia Eagles offensive assistant) are in the mix. We have not confirmed Mississippi State wide receivers coach is in the mix, but our sources tell us Hudspeth and ULM athletic director Bobby Staub know each other very well. We have also hear that ULM defensive coordinator Troy Reffet talked to Staub about the job. Ole Miss safeties coach Kim Dameron withdrew his name from what we understand. We also hear there is one more big name still in the hunt.
Hampton University: Former Tennessee State OC Fred Kaiss has accepted the OC / wide receivers job at Hampton. Shannon Harris has been hired to coach the quarterbacks and tight ends.
San Jose State: We hear Alabama offensive coordinator Jim McElwain has interviewed.
