Washington Redskins: Shanahan is getting a five-year deal.
Minnesota State University - Moorhead: We hear the head coaching job is open.
Buffalo Bills: Special teams coordinator Bobby April has exercised a clause in his contract that has made him a free agent.
Kansas State: We hear Bill Snyder has talked with former San Jose State defensive coordinator Keith Burns.
Weber State: We hear quarterbacks coach Jason Beck is moving to wide receivers. Our source tells us former Montana Western head coach Tommy Lee will be the new OC. Our source tells us Cecil Thomas has accepted the offensive line position. We hear the defensive line job is open.
Jackson State: We hear former New Mexico State running backs coach Ernest Wilson will be the new offensive coordinator.
Nevada: We hear defensive tackles coach Jim House will not return.
Florida: The Gators have hired Syracuse running backs coach Stan Drayton. Drayton coached with the Gators a few years ago. DJ Durkin's title will be "Linebackers Coach."
Southern Miss: Larry Fedora has stated he will likely stay in house for the offensive coordinator position. We hear if Fedora stays in house, quarterbacks coach Blake Anderson will be the guy.
Mississippi State: Our sources tell us no interviews are expected to take place between now and the convention. We hear Dan Mullen will likely get things wrapped up shortly after the convention, where he will talk with the next defensive coordinator.
Louisiana Tech: We hear head coach Derek Dooley is interested in Texas Tech defensive ends coach Charlie Sadler for the defensive line position.
Chattanooga: We hear assistant coach Tony Coode will be moving over to the defensive side of the ball.
Grand Valley State: We hear Matt Mitchell will likely promote defensive line coach Matt Yoches to defensive coordinator.
Cleveland Browns: Mike Holmgren will interview Eagles GM Tom Heckert for the same position with the Browns.
Washington Redskins: GM Bruce Allen is negotiating a contract with Mike Shanahan's agent.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Quarterbacks coach Ken Anderson has decided to retire.
Chicago Bears: Ron Turner (offensive coordinator), Pep Hamilton (quarterbacks), Rob Boras (tight ends), Harry Hiestand (line), Luke Butkus, and Charles London will not return to the staff.
Arkansas: FootballScoop has confirmed that neither Steve Caldwell or David Kelly have accepted positions at Arkansas, although both coaches could end up in Fayetteville. Our sources tell us Caldwell will interview tomorrow. Kelly does have an offer and is considering the move, but we hear that another SEC school is in the picture.
Central Michigan: One of our sources tells us Curt Mallory (Illinois) is still in the mix for the head coaching job.
Coastal Carolina: Our sources just told us that former Hofstra defensive line coach Kevin Mapp has accepted the defensive line job at Coastal Carolina.
Florida State: FootballScoop has learned that Rice defensive line coach / recruiting coordinator Darin Eliot will be joining the FSU staff. We had heard on December 15th that a Rice assistant would be going to Florida State. At the time, we thought wide receivers coach Larry Edmondson might be the guy because he had coached with Jimbo Fisher at Auburn back in the day. Our sources tell us that Eliot is the guy and he will be coaching the defensive ends at FSU.
Richmond: It appears Byron Thweatt (linebackers), Dave Legg (cornerbacks/special teams), Kevin Lewis (defensive tackles), Stacy Tutt (running backs) and Bill Polin (offensive line) will all be rehired and work on Latrell Scott's new coaching staff at Richmond. Fork Union Military Academy assistant Tripp Billingsley will coach the wide receivers. Devin Fitzsimmons (tight ends) and Chad Wilt (defensive line) will also join the staff. Fitzsimmons served as a GA at Virginia last season. Wilt coached the Virginia defensive line.
Central Michigan: Our sources are telling us that Michigan State running backs coach Dan Enos will interview for a third time with Central Michigan. We hear Wake Forest offensive coordinator Steed Lobotzke is one of the three finalists along with Enos. At this time, we haven't been able to find out the remaining candidate.
Texas Tech: Tommy Tuberville is interviewing. We hear Texas Tech officials picked up Tubs at the airport today.
Southwest Minnesota State University: invites applications for a full-time athletic fixed-term Assistant Football Coach/Athletic Administration position to begin February 12, 2010 or a date to be negotiated. SMSU is located in the town of Marshall (pop. 13,000) in southwest Minnesota. The Assistant Football Coach will be the defensive coordinator and will be involved in all aspects of coaching responsibilities including recruiting, practice, organization, scheduling and trip organization. Review of the applications will begin on January 25, 2010 and will continue until the position is filled. Nevada: Our sources tell us that Stanford co-defensive coordinator / linebackers coach Andy Buh will be going to Nevada as the defensive coordinator.
Michigan: Former Domino's Pizza CEO Dave Brandon has accepted the AD position at Michigan.
Western Kentucky: We hear Willie Taggart offered a position to Stanford defensive backs coach Clayton White.

Itawamba CC: We hear North Alabama linebackers coach Sean Cannon will be joining the Itawamba staff as defensive coordinator.
Florida: Sources tell us that running backs coach Kenny Carter is leaving the Gators. Although we haven't confirmed it yet, it seems like Carter is heading to Louisville. We learned about Carter when a source told us Steve Addazio is considering hiring Syracuse running backs coach Stan Drayton. Drayton once left the UF staff for Tennessee.
Stanford: We've hear former Notre Dame special teams coordinator Brian Polian is interested in the Stanford position vacated by DJ Durkin.
Florida: We hear Addazio and Meyer both talked with Stanford special teams coordinator DJ Durkin about the linebacker / special teams position with the Gators. Our source tells us Durkin has accepted the position.
Arkansas: We hear Steve Caldwell (former Tennessee defensive ends) and David Kelly (UCF wide receivers) are 2 strong possibilities to join the Arkansas staff.
Houston Texans: John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports there are four candidates for the offensive coordinator position: Titans offensive line coach Mike Munchak, Broncos offensive line coach Rick Dennison, Falcons quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave and former Chiefs offensive coordinator Chan Gailey.
Nicholls State: FootballScoop has learned that Nicholls State has just hired Charlie Stubbs as head coach. We hear there could be an announcement as early as tomorrow. Stubbs coached the quarterbacks at Central Missouri this past season.
Notre Dame: Our sources tell us Cincinnati running backs coach Tim Hinton has accepted the tight ends job at Notre Dame.
Louisville: We hear Jon Fabris did indeed accept a position today with Charlie Strong. Our source tells us that Larry Slade will remain with the staff.
Marshall: We hear West Virginia grad assistant JuJuan Seider will coach the running backs.
UCONN: We hear Norwich University wide receivers coach Shane Fogarty has accepted a grad assistant position at UCONN.
Syracuse: FootballScoop has just learned that LA Tech defensive line coach Jimmy Brumbaugh has accepted the defensive line job at Syracuse.
Louisiana Tech: Our sources tell us that head coach Derek Dooley has talked with former Kansas wide receivers coach David Beatty regarding the wide receivers job.
UNLV: Bobby Hauck announced that fomer Montana offensive line coach Chad Germer will serve as offensive line coach. Dominic Daste will coach the wide receivers. As we reported last week, Miami (OH) assistant Cedric Cormier has been hired to coach the wide receivers. Ty Gregorak will serve as linebackers coach / recruiting coordinator.
Akron: We hear Akron linebackers coach Vince Okruch has interviewed with Rob Ianello for the defensive coordinator position. We hear Illinois assistant Curt Mallory has also talked with Ianello.
Arizona State: Noel Mazzone has accepted the offensive coordinator job at Arizona State.
Illinois State: We hear Grand Valley State offensive line coach George Barnett has accepted the offensive line job at Illinois State.
Arkansas: FootballScoop has learned the defensive ends coach Kirk Botkin will not return.
Texas Tech: We hear Ruffin McNeal is interviewing today.
UNLV: Utah cornerbacks coach J.D. Williams has joined the UNLV staff.
Buffalo Bills: ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that he is hearing Bill Cowher will not be going to Buffalo.
Buffalo Bills: FoxSports is reporting the Bills have just dismissed the entire football coaching staff including interim head coach Perry Fewell.
Illinois: We hear DeAndre Smith (former UNLV running backs coach) will join the staff at Illinois.
Kentucky: Rich Brooks has announced his retirement. Wide receivers coach Joker Phillips will take over as head coach.
NY Giants: Defensive coordinator Bill Sheridan will not return.
Elon: We hear Elon defensive coordinator Jay Bateman has added the title of assistant head coach.
Western Michigan: As expected, former Hofstra head coach Dave Cohen has joined the staff as defensive coordinator. Former Hofstra safeties / nickel backs coach Rich Nagy will also join the WMU staff.
Kansas City Chiefs: Head coach Todd Haley says he has talked with Romeo Crennel several times, but not about the defensive coordinator position.
Houston Texans: Head coach Gary Kubiak will return.
Texas Tech: As of Sunday, Tuberville had not been contacted.
Utah: We hear former Utah quarterback Brian Johnson could soon join the Utah coaching staff.

Chattanooga: Sources tell us that UT-Martin offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Geep Wade has accepted the tight ends and tackles position at Chattanooga.
Buffalo: FootballScoop has learned that Cincinnati staff associate Marty Spieler will be joining the Buffalo staff along with William Inge and Earnest Jones.
Western Kentucky: Stanford offensive assistant / strength assistant Terry Obee has accepted the wide receivers position at Western Kentucky. Walter Wells will now coach the guards and center. Eric Mathies will serve as defensive tackles coach / recruiting coordinator.
Texas Tech: ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that NY Jets running backs coach Anthony Lynn could be involved in the Texas Tech search.
Cincinnati: Kerry Combs (defensive backs coach) is expected to be the only coach retained by Butch Jones.
Alabama: Kirby Smart made it pretty clear in a press conference on Sunday that he will return next season to the Crimson Tide.
South Carolina: Spurrier has hired Shawn Elliott from Appalachian State to be his offensive line coach.
Penn State: Defensive coordinator Tom Bradley stated today that he is not a candidate to fill the DC position at Florida. Rivals' Tom Diehart reported earlier that he heard a Penn State assistant could fill the Florida defensive coordinator position. Bradley stated he did not know if Penn State linebackers coach Ron Vanderlinden or defensive line coach Larry Johnson were involved in the search.
Youngstown State: Ron Stoops is the new secondary coach / director of high school relations.
Florida State: We hear Jimbo Fisher has talked with former Tennessee defensive ends coach Steve Caldwell.
Texas Tech: AD Gerald Meyers stated, "Ruff has done a good job. He mentioned earlier in the week that he would be auditioning for the job tonight, and I think he had a pretty good performance. He did a great job. These players love Ruffin. Our fans love Ruffin. He certainly will get a lot of strong consideration. We're not opposed to hiring coordinators. We're going to take a look at it. We've got to meet with our administration and go from there. The sooner the better is all I can say."
Kansas City Chiefs: ESPN is reporting the Chiefs could be closing to hiring Romeo Crennel as defensive coordinator.

Southern University (LA): Our sources tell us wide receivers coach Eric Dooley will be retained.
Cornell: We hear Cornell has interest in Nebraska volunteer assistant, Joe Moglia. Moglia is the former CEO of TD Ameritrade.
Youngstown State: Campbell HS (OH) head coach Jeff Bayuk has joined the staff. We have also heard that head coach Eric Wolford spoke with former Akron offensive coordinator Shane Montgomery. VMI linebackers coach Paul Soltis is expected to join the staff.
Southern University (LA): We hear Stump Mitchell talked with former Texas Southern assistant Melvin Spears about a position.
Louisville: Florida running backs coach Kenny Carter wouldn't confirm or deny yesterday that he is going to Louisville with Charlie Strong. Charlie Strong confirmed Vance Bedford is the new defensive coordinator.
William Jewell College: Shawnee Mission North HS head coach Ryan Majors has joined the staff on the offensive side.
Montana: Calgary Stampeders assistant Dave Dickenson has been offered a job, but Montana head coach Robin Pflugrad doesn't think Dickenson plans to leave Calgary this year. Mick Delany will remain on the staff.

Western Kentucky: Palmetto HS (FL) head coach Ray Woodie has accepted an assistant coaching position at Western Kentucky.
UNLV: We hear Miami (OH) wide receivers coach Cedric Cormier has been offered a position at UNLV.
Langston University (OK): We hear there is a grad assistant position open.
Boise State: Chris Petersen has signed a new 5-year contract.
Virginia: Old Dominion defensive backs coach / recruiting coordinator Chip West has accepted a defensive position at Virginia. We hear London has offered the defensive coordinator job to Miami Dolphins' linebackers coach Jim Reid.
Cincinnati: Central Michigan assistants Don Mahonay (offensive line coach), Tim Elder (linebackers), Mike Bajakian (OC / quarterbacks), and Steve Stripling (defensive line) are all going to Cincinnati with Butch Jones. CMU grad assistants Tony Pape and Ryan Oshnock are also going to Cincinnati.
Central Michigan: We hear tight ends / special teams coordinator Max Glowacki, running backs coach Jeff Beckles, defensive tackles coach Paul Volero are not heading Cincinnati with Butch Jones.
Murray State: We hear that Central Arkansas quarterbacks coach Buster Faulkner is headed to Murray State as the offensive coordinator.
Notre Dame: We hear that former Kansas offensive coordinator Ed Warinner has been hired as the new offensive line coach at Notre Dame.
Tampa Bay: Doug Williams has agreed to a one year extension to remain as the team's director of pro personnel.
