Castelton (D-III - VT): Endicott College (D-III - MA) offensive coordinator Tony Volpone will be the new head coach at Castleton. 

Indianapolis Colts: Defensive quality control Brad White has been promoted to assistant linebackers coach. He previously coached at Murray State, Wake Forest and Air Force. 

Arizona State: Sources tell us Matt Butterfield has been hired as a senior offensive analyst focusing on quarterbacks at Arizona State. He previously worked on the staffs at Colorado, Arizona State under Dennis Erickson and most recently at UCLA. At UCLA we understand there are no current openings for quality control or grad assistant positions. 

Buffalo Bills: Ball State defensive grad assistant Thad Bogardus has been hired as defensive quality control. 

West Alabama (D-II): Per source, former Jacksonville State offensive line coach Adam Ross will join the West Alabama staff in the same capacity. 

Missouri Southern (D-II): Former East Stroudsburg (D-II - PA) defensive line coach Charles Alexander has accepted the defensive backs position at Missouri Southern.

Utica (D-III - MI): Utica College (NCAA Division III, Empire 8 Conference, NY): In need of a week 2 opponent starting in 2015. Multiple year contract vs. regional opponent is preferred. Savannah State: Earnest Wilson has announced the hires of Mike Villagrana (co-offensive coordinator / wide receivers), and David Banks (quarterbacks). Wilson worked with both coaches at Hampton University.

Atlanta Falcons: The Falcons have promoted Mark Collins from defensive assistant to outside linebackers coach and Southern Miss safeties coach Andrew Thacker has been hired as a defensive assistant, according to Alex Marvez.

Hudson Valley CC (NY): Hudson Valley Community College is looking for an assistant football coach. There are two part time positions available. Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. We are looking to hire one coach on offense and one coach on defense. Positions are negotiable, but ideally we are looking for someone with experience coaching LBs or DBs on defense and QBs, RBs, or OL on offense. These positions are part-time stipends only, no meals or housing. Salary will range from $2000-$4500 based on experience. Tennessee-Chattanooga: Chris Malone has been hired to coach the offensive line. Malone coached at Virginia State last season (offensive line / run game coordinator) and was at James Madison for seven years prior to that.

Mississippi State: Per source, Villanova restricted earnings coach Justin Hinds has been hired as a defensive grad assistant and will work with the defensive line.

St. Cloud State (D-II - MN): Sources tell us that UW-Eau Claire (D-III) defensive coordinator Mark Sipple is heading to St. Cloud State in the same capacity.

Detroit Lions owner William Clay Ford Sr. has passed away this morning at 88. Ford purchased the team in 1963, Please keep his family in your prayers.

Stanford: Longtime Texas assistant Duane Akina is joining David Shaw's staff as secondary coach.

Denver Broncos: Per source, LSU offensive quality control coach Bo Hardegree has been hired as an offensive assistant with the Broncos. Hardegree worked with the quarterbacks and was at LSU for three seasons, and also served as an offensive grad assistant at Duke for three seasons under David Cutcliffe.

Iowa Barnstormers (Arena): Head coach Mike Hohensee has announced his coaching staff. Ernesto "Netto" Purnsley will return for his third season as defensive coordinator, David Paffenroth will coach the offensive line in his second season with the team, and Stanley Wrubluski will serve as defensive line coach / special teams coordinator.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of former Quincy University coach Ron Taylor, who passed away Thursday at age 74.

California: Sources tell us Fred Tate, formerly an assistant under Art Kaufman at Cincinnati, will join the Cal staff coaching the defensive line. 

Macalester College (D-III - MN): Former NFL player and Harding High School (MN) defensive backs coach Sean McMoore has accepted the assistant defensive backs job at Macalester.

Dean College (JC - MA): Marian High School in Framingham, MA head football coach Gene Robinson has accepted the position of defensive line coach at Dean College.

Concordia (D-II - MN): Mike Shafer, former offensive line coach At Northern State University, has accepted the position of offensive coordinator/offensive line coach at Concordia University in St. Paul.

Central Oklahoma (D-II): Tulsa GA David Johnson has accepted the running backs job at Central Oklahoma. 

Georgia Tech: Former Samford head coach Pete Hurt has joined the staff as assistant director of player personnel.

Santa Monica College (JC - CA): Santa Monica College is seeking a walk on Offensive Line Coach. The position pays from $4,200-$5,000 per season. Email head coach Gifford Lindheim a coaching resume at L.

Tulane: Head coach Curtis Johnson has officially announced the hiring of Aaron Price as quarterbacks coach and Kwahn Drake as defensive line coach. Additionally, defensive coordinator Jon Sumrall will shift from the defensive line to linebackers, secondary coach Jason Rollins will be the special teams coordinator and offensive line coach John McDonnell will be the run game coordinator.

Rice: Graduate assistant Anthony Steward has been promoted to running backs coach. Steward served as an offensive grad assistant the past two seasons.

Finlandia (D-III - MI): Finlandia University plans to launch a new football program by 2015 and is currently taking applications for head coach.

Eastern Michigan: KiJuan Ware, who served as secondary coach at EMU last season, has landed the head coaching job at Central HS (Harrison, TN).

Mississippi State: The school and Dan Mullen have agreed in principle to a contract extension through the 2017-18 season according to Jeremy Fowler of CBS Sports. 

San Diego State: Head coach Rocky Long announced Friday that special teams coach Kevin McGarry would transition into director of player personnel and graduate assistant Zach Arnett had been promoted to linebackers coach.

Northwestern Oklahoma State (D-II): Northwestern Oklahoma State University is looking for a running backs coach and a defensive line coach. Both positions are GA positions. The position is a 10 month salaried position with tuition benefits. The coach is responsible for coaching their own position as well as recruiting their own assigned areas. Westminster (D-III - PA): Rich DeMaio has accepted the associate head coach / offensive coordinator job at Westminster College. DeMaio previously served in the same role at Rhodes College (D-III - TN).

Northern State (D-II - SD): Northern State University seeks a full-time offensive line coach. Utah State: Per source, Jovon Bouknight has been promoted to passing game coordinator / receivers coach and Kedrick Shaver has added the title of defensive passing game coordinator / corners coach.

Minnesota: We reported it earlier in the week, but Minnesota has now made it official, Mike Sherels has been promoted to linebackers coach. Sherels was a defensive grad assistant in 2013 and most recently served as an assistant coordinator of recruiting operations.

Nebraska: Head coach Bo Pelini has received a contract extension through 2018, according to Gregg Doyel of CBS.

Methodist University (D-III - NC): Methodist University is seeking an assistant coach that will work with the running backs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required. Proven Division III recruiting experience required. Position is Full Time with benefits and offensive coaching experience is required with a focus on the run game. Southern Illinois: Sources tell us that Keith Murphy is joining the staff and will coach the tight ends and serve as special teams coordinator. Murphy previously coached the tight ends / special teams at New Mexico State.

Montreal Alouettes (CFL): Sources tell us that Kris Sweet is the new offensive line coach for the Alouettes.

Incarnate Word (FCS - TX): Sources tell us that special teams coordinator Jake Zwieg will not return to the staff. We hear associate head coach / defensive line coach Todd Ivicic will take over the special teams coordinator duties.

Minnesota: Two assistants have swapped positions, as Brian Anderson will take over as wide receivers coach and Pat Poore will handle the running backs. 

Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL): Former Blue Bombers quarterback Buck Pierce has joined the staff as running backs coach. 

UNC Pembroke (D-II): UNC Pembroke is looking to hire a fulltime WR Coach. Master’s degree in P.E./Health/Recreation required. Please send resumes & cover letter to Head Coach .

Wartburg (D-III - IA): Wartburg College, in Waverly, Iowa has an opening for a defensive intern. Duties include coaching the defensive line, managing recruiting territory, and other duties as assigned. 10-month position with a $10,400 stipend and some weekly meals. Southeastern Louisiana (FCS): Sources tell us Patrick Toney has been promoted to safeties coach/special teams coordinator. He previously worked in an off-the-field capacity. 

Georgia State: Georgia State has hired former Detroit Lions wide receivers/tight ends coach Tim Lappano as wide receivers coach. 

Mt. San Antonio College (JC - CA): Assistant coach Daniel Al Gattas has been hired as head coach at Baldwin Park (Calif.) High School. 

Kentucky: As we reported Sunday, Texas State defensive coordinator and safeties coach Craig Naivar has joined the Kentucky staff as special teams coordinator and safeties coach. 

Duke: Graduate assistant, and former Blue Devil, Jeff Faris has been promoted to wide receivers coach. 

Stanford: Andrew Luck Director of Offense Mike Bloomgren has added the title of associate head coach.

Marshall: Chris Barclay, who coached the running backs at William and Mary last season, will be the new running backs coach, according to the Charleston Daily Mail. He replaces Thomas Brown, who accepted the same position at Wisconsin.

San Bernardino Valley (JC - CA): San Bernardino Valley College is seeking a walk on running backs coach. This position pays from $4200-$5000 per season (no housing, meals or benefits). Georgia: Sources tell us that former Mississippi Valley State (FCS) offensive coordinator Alex Jackson has accepted an offensive quality control job at Georgia.

Miles College (D-II - AL): Per source, receivers coach Gary Banks has accepted the offensive coordinator job at Florence HS (AL).

Georgia: Running backs coach Bryan McClendon ($250,000) and tight ends coach John Lilly ($250,000) have received raises. Both coaches made $235,000 last year.

Stonehill (D-II - MA): Stonehill seeks an assistant football coach for defense. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing/coaching DL, LB, or DB, at least 1 year of collegiate coaching experience, and have ties to the Northeast Region. A Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience and includes a campus meal plan. Affordable housing is available. Youngstown State: Mike Zordich has officially joined the staff as safeties coach / co-special teams coordinator, and Jamie Bryant has moved from special teams coach to defensive coordinator.

Missouri: Gary Pinkel's contract has been extended through 2020, with his base salary increasing from $2.8 million to $3.1 million. Pinkel can earn up to an additional $1.825 million in incentives. Also, the salary pool for assistants has bumped up to $3.2 million (was $2.66 million in 2013). Defensive coordinator Dave Steckel ($600,000) and offensive coordinator Josh Henson ($550,000) also received raises.

Coastal Carolina: Bill Durkin, the former offensive line coach at Bowling Green, has joined the staff at Coastal Carolina and will coach the running backs.

Southern Connecticut: Per source, New Hampshire defensive line coach Jon Shelton has accepted the defensive coordinator job at Southern Connecticut.

Orange Coast College (JC - CA): Per source, former Orange Coast offensive coordinator Rudy Camaano has accepted the offensive coordinator job at Long Beach Poly HS (CA).
