2012-2013 Head Coaching Changes
Montana: Former (2005-2011) Weber State special teams coordinator / co-defensive coordinator Jake Cookus has been named safeties coach at Montana. Look for a few more additions to the Montana staff later this week.
Texas Tech: Iowa offensive grad assistant David Raih has accepted a high school relations position at Texas Tech per Tom Dienhart.
South Florida: David Reaves will join the staff as receivers coach per Greg Auman. Reaves worked at the IMG academy this past season.
Northwestern State (FCS - LA): Sources tell us Ouachita Baptist (D-II - AR) defensive coordinator Shep Campbell will join the Northwestern State staff as linebackers coach.
Fayetteville State (D-II - NC): Former Florida A&M offensive coordinator Lawrence Kershaw will be the new head coach at Fayetteville State per a release from the University.
Charleston Southern (FCS - NC): Delta State (D-II) head coach Jamey Chadwell will be the new head coach at Charleston Southern.
Point University (GA): Sources tell us that offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Travis Everhart will not be retained.
BYU: Sources tell us (and other local Utah outlets are reporting the same) that Utah passing game coordinator / receivers coach Aaron Roderick will join the BYU staff.
Fort Lewis College (D-II - CO): John L. Smith will become the next head coach, effective March 1. Defensive coordinator Ed Rifilato will continue the day to day activities until Smith arrives on campus.
Moravian: Moravian is no longer accepting applications for the offensive coordinator job. We appreciate all of the interest.
Montana Tech (NAIA): Sources tell us that Corey Fipps is the new offensive coordinator.
USC: USCFootball.com is reporting that former Cal defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast is close to being named defensive coordinator for the Trojans.
Georgia State: Sources tell us that Tennessee-Chattanooga running backs coach Thomas Brown will join the staff at Georgia State.
Virginia State: Monticello HS (VA) head coach Rodney Redd has been added to the staff and will coach the secondary.
Philadelphia Eagles: Chip Kelly has accepted the Eagles' head job per Chris Mortensen. Update> Sources close to the situation confirm to us. Further Update> The Eagles have now confirmed the hire.
Hutchinson CC (KS): Sources tell us Ellsworth CC head coach Josh Gooch will be the new offensive coordinator at Hutchinson. We hear he's bringing a number of his staff as well. Will update.
Arkansas: Sources tell us Hutchinson CC offensive coordinator Tommy Mangino will join the Arkansas staff as an offensive grad assistant working with the quarterbacks.
Chicago Bears: The Bears have added Dallas special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis to the staff.
Northwestern State: Head coach Jay Thomas has officially announced the additions of offensive coordinator Robby Brown, and defensive coordinator Chris Boone.

Middle Tennessee: Sources tell us that Marshall offensive centers/guards coach Geep Wade will join Stock's staff.
Alabama State: Sources tell us that Noxubee HS (MS) defensive coordinator George Richardson will be the defensive grad assistant and will work with the secondary.
Huntingdon College (D-III - AL): Athletic director Buzz Phillips has stepped down, effective immediately.
Kansas City Chiefs: Gary Gibbs has joined the staff and will coach the linebackers and Emmitt Thomas will coach the defensive backs. Also, Eugene Chung has been added as the assistant offensive line coach.
TCU: Former Auburn running backs coach Curtis Luper will join the TCU staff per a report from the Star-Telegram.
Kansas City Chiefs: Jaguars offensive line coach Andy Heck will take the same position with the Chiefs per Alex Marvez of FoxSports.
Purdue: Sources tell us former New York Jets quarterbacks coach Matt Cavanaugh is a strong candidate for the Purdue offensive coordinator role.

Illinois: Sources tell us Chargers offensive line coach Mike Sullivan has been offered the Illinois offensive line job. Sullivan however has also recently interviewed with the Browns and is considering other options. We'll keep you posted.
Chicago Bears: Adam Schefter is reporting that former Saints interim head coach Aaron Kromer has accepted the offensive coordinator / offensive line job.
Virginia Tech: Sources tell us that Stanford offensive intern Aaron Moorehead has accepted the wide receivers job.
Georgia Tech: Mike Pelton has joined the staff as defensive line coach.
Chicago Bears: The Bears have announced that Marc Trestman will be the next head coach of the franchise. Trestman has spent 17 years in the NFL as a coordinator and assistant coach and had spent the past five seasons with the Montreal Alouettes.
Catawba College (D-II -NC): Former assistant head coach John Fitz has accepted the head coaching job at J.M. Robinson HS (NC).
Lackawanna College (JUCO - PA): Lackawanna College is seeking applicants for the positions of Offensive Line Coach, Defensive Line Coach, and Defensive Intern / Equipment Manager. San Jose State: Sources tell us Ron Caragher has finalized the final two coaches on his staff. We are told that former Cal associate head coach / recruiting coordinator / linebackers coach Kenwick Thompson will serve as defensive coordinator and we also hear that Northern Colorado defensive line / special teams coordinator James Jones will join the staff as defensive line coach.
James Madison: Virginia Tech guards / centers coach Curt Newsome will join Mickey Mathews' staff at JMU as assistant head coach / offensive line per sources. The Richmond Times Dispatch reported the same earlier as well.
Denver Broncos: Defensive backs coach Ron Milus' contract will not be renewed according to the Denver Post. Defensive quality control Cory Undlin has been promoted to fill the position.
BYU: The school has announced the hiring of Garett Tujague and Mark Atuaia as offensive assistants. Tujague spent the past six seasons as the head coach of College of the Canyons (CA), and Atuaia had been serving as an assistant to the athletic director for student services at BYU.
Arkansas: Arkansas has announced the hiring of former Razorback Barry Lunney, Jr., as tight ends coach. He previously worked as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Bentonville HS (AR).
UNLV: Sources tell us Cleveland Browns secondary coach Tim Hauck has been offered to join his brother's staff at UNLV as defensive coordinator. He is under contract with the Browns at this time.
Oregon State: Mike Riley has promoted defensive grad assistant Trent Bray to linebackers coach. Tight ends coach Jay Locey will move to assistant to the head coach (off the field). Tight ends will be covered by the other offensive coaches and a grad assistant.
Western Carolina (FCS): Sources tell us that Carson Newman (D-II - TN) running backs coach De'Rail Sims will join the Western Carolina staff as running backs coach.
BYU: Sources tell us the Ben Cahoon (receivers) and Joe Dupaix (RBs) will not return to the staff.

Buffalo Bills: Doug Marrone has announced ten members of his staff. Eric Ciano (head strength & conditioning), Donnie Henderson (DBs), Jim O'Neil (LBs), Chuck Driesbach (LBs), Tyrone Wheatley (RBs), Greg Adkins (TEs), Anthony Weaver (DL), Brian Fleury (DQC), Samson Brown (asst DBs) and Jason Rebrovich (DQC).
Florida State: Billy Napier's contract is $275,000 per year for two years. Randy Sanders will earn $225,000 in year one and $325,000 in year two.
Kansas City Chiefs: Chicago Bears special teams coordinator Dave Toub will join the staff at Kansas City per sources.
Arizona: Former Cal offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Jim Michalczik will join Rich Rod's staff as offensive line coach.
