Congratulations are in order to Wayne Hardin and Bill McCartney, who were officially named to the College Football Hall of Fame today.  

Bowdoin (D-III - ME): Bowdoin College (Brunswick, ME) is accepting applications for the full time position of Assistant Football Coach and Instructor of Physical Education within its Athletics Department. The successful candidate should possess the technical knowledge to coach the defensive line or offensive skills positions. Experience recruiting student athletes to highly selective liberal arts colleges is preferred. The successful candidate may also perform administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Victor Valley CC (CA): Victor Valley CC is seeking applicants for two (2) Part-Time Football Coaching /  Adjunt Faculty Teaching Positions in the Physical Education Dept (1 Offense/ 1 Defense/ 1 Special Teams). Salary will range in $40,000’s. This is a full Adjunct position Responsibilities include; coaching a position, practice and game preparation, video breakdown and editing (HUDL), recruiting, academic support and development. . A Masters degree in Physical Education or Sports related field is required. Pace University (D-II - NY): Pace University is accepting applications for the position of Offensive Seasonal Intern. This seasonal intern position runs from Aug. 1st 2013 to Jan. 31st 2014. Compensation includes a stipend of $6,000. No housing is provided. No Education / Medical Benefits provided. Coaching and / or playing experience preferred. Denver Broncos: Tom Heckert has been added as the director of pro personnel. 

WPI (D-III - MA): WPI is currently accepting applications for intern positions. The position is a ten month appointment starting August 1. The position includes housing, salary (approximately $500 per month), and some meals. There are no graduate school or medical benefits included with the position. The position will include coaching a position, video breakdown, analysis, and exchange responsibilities, as well as recruiting high-academic student-athletes both regionally and nationally. Preference will be given to those who have coached or played an offensive or defensive skill position (WR/RB/QB/LB) at the college level. A bachelors degree is required and 1-2 years of coaching experience at the college level is recommended. Franklin College (D-III - IN): Offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Andy Hape has been announced as the new head coach at Reitz HS (IN).

University of Pikeville (NAIA - KY): Sources tell us that assistant coach Emanuel Hendrix will not return to the staff.

Pittsburgh Steelers: "Mean" Joe Greene has announced his retirement after 27 years with the organization (13 of those as a player). Greene most recently spent the past nine seasons as a special assistant for pro and college personnel for GM Kevin Colbert.

Berry College (D-III - GA): Lakeside HS (GA) defensive coordinator Kenny Baker has accepted the linebackers job at Berry College.

San Francisco 49ers: The Niners have announced that they have hired former Raiders receiver Ronald Curry as an offensive assistant.

Dakota State (NAIA - SD)Dakota State University (NAIA) in Madison, SD is still looking for a Defensive Assistant Coach and a Track Throwing Coach. It has now been moved to a 10 month position and the salary has been bumped to $23,000.00 a year. There are no other outside duties, other than assigned by the head football and track coach. Bachelor’s degree required. Prefer candidates with experience in playing and coaching Defensive Line, as well as throwing and coaching throwers at both the high school and collegiate levels. Experience in Equipment Managing, Strength and Conditioning, Fundraising and Recruiting are also preferred. San Diego Chargers: The Chargers have announced New York Jets assistant director of player personnel JoJo Wooden as director of player personnel. Also, Jets Mid-West scout Kevin Kelly has join the team as director of college scouting.

Missouri Valley College: Missouri Valley College is seeking applicants for Defensive Graduate Assistant Coach. This position will include graduate tuition, room and board. No stipend. St. Scholastica (D-III - MN): The College of St. Scholastica is looking for a seasonal, full-time Intern to coach defensive backs. The position will start August 1, 2013 and conclude on December 31, 2013. Stipend of $8000.00 paid out over 5 months. NO benefits, meals, or housing is provided by the College. Kennesaw State: Georgia State equipment manager Jay Bailey has accepted the director of football operations position at Kennesaw State. 

Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens added former St. Louis Rams head coach and, most recently, New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo to be a full-time senior defensive consultant.

Michigan: Sources tell us that director of football operations Bob Lopez will be promoted to associate athletic director for football administration and that Southern Miss director of football operations Nolan Jones will be the new director of football operations. 

Arkansas Tech (D-II): Arkansas Tech University is accepting applications for a full time offensive line coach. The position involves teaching physical education classes and responsibility for football team equipment. The position involves teaching physical education classes and in charge of football team equipment. Required Qualifications: Master's Degree, Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, and experience with Hudl. Texas State: Head coach Dennis Franchione has received a new five-year deal worth $400,000 annually, beginning in 2014.

Montana State - Northern (NAIA): MSU-Northern is looking for an assistant coach for the upcoming 2013 season. This position could be a combination of stipend and graduate studies scholarships. Coaching duties would include: Assisting with DB’s; film study and breakdown; assisting with in-season weightlifting/conditioning. Coach would need to be available by August 1, 2013 or sooner. St. Olaf (D-III - MN): Former St. Louis Park HS (MN) head coach Vince Varpness has joined the coaching staff at St. Olaf College.

Langston University (NAIA - OK): Langston University is seeking a full time Wide Receivers Coach for the 2013 football season. This assistant will be responsible for coaching their own position group and recruiting both in the state of Oklahoma and around the country. Albany State (D-II - GA): Albany State is in search of a new offensive coordinator after Uyl Joyner resigned Wednesday for a positon on his brother Corey's staff at Dougherty High School. 

Concord (D-II - WV): Head coach Garin Justice announced Thursday that defensive line coach Pat Dawson will also serve as recruiting coordinator in 2013. 

Wheaton College (D-III - IL): Josiah Sears has been named offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Wheaton. Sears spent the past five seasons at Franklin College (D-III - IN) in the same capacity.

Wisconsin - Stevens Point (D-III): UWSP, in the WIAC, is looking for a game in 2015, Week 2: Sept. 12th preferred but will consider Week 4: Sept. 26th. Lake Forest (D-III - IL):  Lake Forest College, 30 miles north of Chicago, Ill., is looking for applicants for the position of quarterback coach. This is a full-time non-tenure track staff appointment with an anticipated start date of June 2013. Salary and benefits are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The anticipated salary range is $25-30,000 annually.
