Notre Dame:  We hear Tony Alford, who previously served at Louisville, will become the next running backs coach at Notre Dame.  

Illinois St.:  We hear Luke Huard, Washington GA, will join the staff at Illinois St. as the quarterbacks coach.

UMASS:  FootballScoop has confirmed that UMass will announce Kevin Morris as their new head coach this afternoon.  Morris has been their offensive coordinator.  

Houston Texans:  We hear the Texans have hired Kansas City's David Gibbs to coach the defensive backs.  

New York Jets:  It is being widely reported that the Jets plan to hire Rex Ryan as their new head coach today. 

New York Giants:  The Giants have promoted linebackers coach Bill Sheridan to defensive coordinator.

Denver Broncos:  Carolina Panthers' quarterbacks coach Mike McCoy has accepted the offensive coordinator role with the Broncos.  We hear Rip Scherer has interviewed with the Panthers to fill McCoy's spot. 

Green Bay Packers:  Dom Capers has accepted the defensive coordinator position with the Packers.

Illinois:  We hear Keith Gilmore, defensive line coach at Cincinnati, has accepted the same position with Illinois.

East Carolina: Reports are that defensive coordinator Greg Hudson has interviewed at Oklahoma State and offensive coordinator Todd Fitch has interviewed at Minnesota.

Denver Broncos: We hear head coach Josh McDaniels has hired San Francisco 49ers offensive assistant Adam Gase.

Syracuse: Former Tennessee running backs coach Stan Drayton has accepted the running backs position on Doug Marrone's staff at Syracuse.

Tampa Bay Bucs: 6 assistants will not return.  Bill Muir (offensive coordinator / offensive line), Johnny Cox (defensive quality control), Ejiro Evero (defensive quality control), Jay Gruden (offensive assistant), Mike Morris (head strength coach), George Yarno (assistant offensive line) will all not be a part of Raheem Morris' staff.
Sunday January 18, 2009 (Update 2)

Auburn: University of Colorado offensive line / run game coordinator Jeff Grimes has accepted the offensive line position at Auburn.

Florida: Head coach Urban Meyer has talked with Art Kehoe about joining the Gator's staff.  Pete Perot has returned to the LA Tech coaching staff as offensive line coach.  We hear Meyer is unsure at this time how he will organize his offensive coaching staff responsibilities.

Miami: Our sources tell us that Boise State wide receivers coach Brent Pease is not a candidate for the offensive coordinator position at Miami.  We hear head coach Randy Shannon is indeed interested in Cleveland Browns quarterbacks coach Rip Scherer.

Ohio: We hear former Eastern Michigan offensive coordinator Scott Ispording will be named tight ends / recruiting coordinator at Ohio University.

Utah: We hear head coach Kyle Whittingham tried to keep Aaron Roderick by naming him co-offensive coordinator / play caller.  Roderick chose to join Steve Sarkisian's staff at Washington as wide receivers coach.  We hear Dave Schramm will be promoted to offensive coordinator.  The Utes need to fill the quarterbacks and wide receiver positions.

Peoria Pirates arenafootball league 2: is searching for multiple interns to serve as assistant equipment managers.  Starts March 7, 2009, and runs one (1) week after the season ends. Required to attend all practices and home games.
