Jasksonville State: Errol K. Seaver has joined the staff as a graduate assistant.  Seaver will serve as new video coordinator for the Gamecocks.

New Mexico: Head coach Rocky Long is set to sign a new contract extension.

South Florida: Defensive line coach John Hendrick returned to his full time duties on Monday, nearly seven weeks after suffering a heart attack.

UNC-Pembroke: Geoff Buffum has joined the staff as quarterbacks coach / passing game coordinator.  Buffum previously served as the head football coach of the Swarco Raiders in Austria, where he led the organization to the 2008 European championship.

Saint Vincent College: Former Pittsburgh University quarterback Rod Rutherford has been hired to coach the defensive backs.  Rutherford recently led the Erie River Rats to a 10-6 record in the American Indoor Football Association.

South Florida: Coach Jim Leavitt has announced that he never really considered hiring another coach to fill in for Coach John Hendrick.  Hendrick is currently recovering from a heart attack he suffered in early July.  Leavitt indicated this week that he is very pleased assistant coach Kevin Patrick, who has taken on additional responsibilities in place of Hendrick.  Patrick had been coaching the defensive ends, but is now in charge of the entire defensive front.

Clark Atlanta University: Ronnie Blackmon has joined the staff as the new running backs coach.  Blackmon previously served on the staff at West Georgia in 2007.

Olivet Nazarene University: Olivet Nazarene University: Head coach Gary Newsome has been named athletic director and will step down as head football coach in December. 

Western Connecticut: Greg Schwarz joins the staff as the new linebackers coach.  Schwarz previously served the past three seasons on the staff at Immaculate High School in Connecticut.  Former Western Connecticut player, Greg Boucher, has also joined the staff. Boucher will direct the defensive line.

Elon University: Rich Skrosky has added the title of Run Game Coordinator.  Skrosky has coached the Elon offensive line unit the last 2 seasons. 

Shenandoah University:  Wow!  Former NFL all-pro offensive lineman Joe Jacoby has joined the staff as a volunteer offensive line coach.  Jacoby played with the Washington Redskins from 1981-1993 and is a three time Super Bowl champion.

Stockton Lightning: The Stockton Lightning have removed the "interim" tag from Chad Carlson's title.  Carlson is now officially the head football coach of the Arena 2 Stockton Lightning.  This will mark Carlson's third head coaching job as he previously served as the head coach of the Hawaiian Islanders and Bossier City Battle Wings.

Trinity College (Connecticut):  Former Trinity College wide receiver Joe Clark has been hired as linebackers coach at Trinity College.  Also, Sam Pagano joins the staff as the new tight ends coach.  Pagano recently finished his playing career at SUNY-Albany where he received All-American honors in 2006 and 2007.
